Care to share what attitudes they are? Well….the disbelieving, it will never happen, I’ll be dead by then type of attitudes. Those outdated types of attitude.Attitudes like mine?
Care to share what they are? Quote me where I've said I don't care I'll be dead by then? I'll wait, you'll be searching for a while.
I recycle, I pay extra on my gas and electric direct debit, I sold my diesel car for a petrol one and I've got a 50 litre conpost bin down the side of my house.
What were you doing 40 years ago, with your back boilers, leaded petrol cars, coal fired power stations and ozone killing gases?
The idea of global warming was new back then and lots of people thought it wasn’t serious but we know different now.
The reason it’s getting bigger news and more people are concerned now is we are starting to see the affects whereas back then the affects were in the distant future so people didn’t care as much as they do now.
I wasn’t quoting you when I said “I’ll be dead by then” hence why I said attitudes like yours.
Maybe I have misinterpreted your posts and assumed you don’t think we have a problem with climate change or that it is wrong that this is newsworthy and advice should be given. If so, I apologise.
But those dismissing peoples concerns because we had a hot summer in 1976 or because they work in a hot kitchen or because they’ve sat my a pool on holiday are missing the point of those concerned.
