Morsy.

I thought he had a good game today, up until the sending off (which was not a red in my opinion).
His and Howson‘s graft allowed us to play further up the pitch.

Played very well along with howson today if you can't see that your blinkered

He got sent off mate. Regardless of whether it was just or not, he shouldn’t have put himself in that position. All I ever see him do is foul. And he only fouls because he’s not good or quick enough to win a tackle. Yet he gets lauded for ‘breaking up play’.

All I see is a liability. I’m sorry, I’d love him to come good but if he’s the best defensive mid we’ve got **** me. We’re in trouble.

Whilst agree that he comes with risks because of the way he plays, the assertion that he "shouldn't have put himself in that position", is frankly wrong I have to say.

It was a ball he was entitled, in fact obliged, to challenge for. he wasn't on a yellow and in both real time and slow-mo it didn't even look like a yellow. Football is played at a pace where fractions of a second can mean the difference between a good challenge and missing the ball - in this case I though he got something on it and it wasn't an aggressive, or 'out of control' tackle. In fact It's hard to even describe it as a tackle.

This was one of those that the ref made a hash of, which isn't unfamiliar to Boro in recent seasons.

The ref had just spoken to him twice before so there was definitely a case of the ref wanting to make a point, can’t see how it was ever a straight red, not like there was a Gaston sized gouge out of the right backs leg

Looks like he tries to poke the ball and his foot ends up flat on the turf from the sky sports highlights. No replay so cannot see for sure, but it looks like a howler from the referee. He was shocking today, same as the liner over the east side, appalling.

I like Morsy, he offers that much needed bite in midfield that I don’t think we’ve had in a long while. For all the Howson boo boys.. he was pretty quick off the mark for the goal! Him and Morsy worked well together. It was never a red for me.

You have the same opinion of Clayton under karanka?

The foul he got pulled for just before the red when he slid and won the ball then the guy falls over his leg 10 seconds later was an absolute joke.
