Morsy.

Absolute travesty of a decision to send him off. Referee very weak and allowed Blackburn players to intimidate him. Another referee who probably hates Warnock as well.

Played well before that. Surely it was plain for everybody to see that he was.

The Blackburn lad was a second yellow as well but Morsy a straight red when it was clear it was a yellow at worst. So the latter more the talking point. As you say. Odd.

Not really, but they discussed the blackburn red, then said "So no problems with the refereeing today", <look to camera>. Almost like they'd been told not to discuss the red for Morsy. Maybe theyv'e had grief off the EFL for supporting Warnocks rants too often, but they certainly made a point of NOT discussing Morsys red.
 
Was a bit bizarre to be fair how they never even acknowledged the sending off, especially given they shown Warnock complaining about it.
 
Clayton and Morsy are similar players. Morsy reminds me of Doriva most. He restricts the opposition.

Clayton was younger when we bought him and he cost more (Butterfield plus £1.5m?) Morsy was probably £750k.

Age wise the Morsy today is the Clayton of 2018/19, not Clayton at his peak probably 2016. I agree Clayton at his peak was better than current Morsy, but we did not have Morsy at his peak, which was probably in 2018.

It was just a booking - the foul on Jones in the first half was worse and that just got a yellow card.

As BM states a leveling up exercise.
