That's football opinions vary greatly. I personally think he isn't half the player Clayton was at his peak. He was then considered one of the best holding midfield players in the champinship. Morsey will never get to that level.

As many have commented, he is probably best as Bench cover for Howson and is nowhere near as good as Clayton was in that role.
I don't like the fact that we seem to want to get as many holding MF in the side as possible. George Boeteng didn't need another George Boeteng along side him.
It's part of the reason that we showed no attacking threat against Fulham for so long on Sunday. We simply could not carry the ball out.

And 4 successful tackles - George would have nailed 4 in the first 15 mins of a game. As would Robbie Mustoe.

I think it all depends on who the opposition is - if this game was away, against a better side, I'd expect him to be in.

I don't think we really have a "best team" to be honest, certainly not at this stage of the season anyway.
 
Three tackles he made before the lead up to the red were poor — he’s just so slow in reading the game and the opposing player. Should he have been red carded? Debatable but surely he should have been told to cool it — although the ref was probably poor all day with not calling any of the shirt pulls on our players when in their penalty area or some of the tackles on Jones. At the end he just lost control of the game.
 
He's not my favourite player by any stretch of imagination but I thought he was decent today. I couldn't see clearly the tackle so I don't know if it was a straight Red or not but it certainly put us on the back foot after he went off.
 
It was harsh but he shouldn't have given the ref a decision to make. The ref wanted to even it up.

I actually thought he had a decent game overall although I wish he'd stop shooting from distance.
