    Isaiah Jones

Brilliant today. There's been a lot of negativity recently, but fortunately Izzy wasn't aware of it ;). He seems a humble character, Carrick too, so it's nice to see them rewarded.

Digital season card passes at the riverside stadium

Those who are dismissing this as "nothing" forget that we're on a forum which requires access to the internet, so most of us are probably fairly tech-savvy. If / when it becomes mandatory (and I think it will, why else bring it in?), it will almost certainly be the straw that broke the camel's...

    South stand atmosphere

We could rename the stadium "The Cellnet" and bring back the foam hands?

Still booing the taking the knee

I heard it loud and clear today. You can call me woke or a snowflake or whatever...but it has to stop. For me it's more important than our league position

Has the club done us dirty on the new shirt?

The Pescara kit is really nice IMO, but perhaps not to everyone's taste. This is why I'm inclined to think that Errea came up a few more creative designs, and the club just opted for the safest one.

    9am Kit Release!!

Enough of the white band, it's just used to make the sponsor look more prominent these days. I loved Errea for taking a gamble on the 96-97 shirts, they weren't to everybody's taste but I loved the uniqueness of them. I'm so curious as to what the other prototypes looked like. I get the...

    New kit

Somebody must have forgotten to inform the manufacturer that the home kit is red and white stripes.

    Aden Flint released by Cardiff

Which mug took him off us for £4m?

Fair play to Wilder for calling out Lumley

I agree with this entirely. It's the sort of result and performance that can happen when you're up against a team that come to sit in. If you don't get an early goal, it gets more and more difficult to break them down. The disruption with subs, goal kicks, throw ins etc. make it very hard to...

Wilder has a blind spot with Connolly

It's all about opinions, but I feel that he brings more than Balogun. That said, I think Hernandez was a better option than them both. I do understand why Wilder made the changes though.

    Errea back next year?

I think it'd be good to have Errea back. Some of the Norwich kits they did looked pretty good IMO http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Norwich_City/Norwich_City.htm

    George Saville

Nothing personal, but a signing that wrangles with me massively. 7 million, because he scored 10 goals in the previous season. What is the point in the scouting / recruitment department if we just sign a player based on one seasons' statistics. Summed Pulis up for me to be honest. Same reason we...

    Brexit voters

Just a word for strong (militant) remainers. We have had our rights to move freely, work, love and trade with EU countries taken away from us. Many of us have been effected personally by Brexit. When we're told that we should stop talking about it, complain about it etc... I think people don't...

    Brexit voters

My judgement is somewhat clouded by my pro-EU sentiment, but I'd even go as far to say that it could be an election winner for Labour, especially given that now we're seeing the importance of European unity. I guess another issue is that FPTP probably doesn't help pro-EU parties.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_FA_Cup_broadcasters Given the international broadcasters (including Russia), it'll be great to see Boro showing support to Ukraine (y)🇺🇦

Chris Wilder reflects on how far Boro have come since his appointment [Echo]

Yes but as a fan, you tend to forget about the ones we won where perhaps we were a bit fortunate. I'm sure Reading and Blackpool fans are thinking about the points they dropped conceding late goals, Bournemouth about the chances they missed first half. There's also Coventry and Swansea who would...

Is our ‘weakness’ our strength ?

Yeah, agree with this point. I haven't paid much attention to our xG stats, but it seems to me that we construct chances by overloading in dangerous areas. When we miss chances, it's not because a striker misses the target, but because the final ball gets cut out / misplaced etc.

The lad that got a selfie with Rooney…

Yeah don't like it. If you're a Man Utd fan, there's a stadium a couple of hours away where you can watch them. (I know it was just a kid, but it still annoys me). I have to admit Rooney took it well, especially given how badly his team were faring at the time.

Robbo on our 3pts article today

So much to dwell on still regarding the 96/97 season. Some of the articles written in the press about the area etc. were an absolute disgrace, it was clearly due to the fact that little Boro had managed to sign (in my unbiased opinion) the best player in the world. There's much discussion about...

    how was sporor kept on????

This is something we're going to have to deal with as expectations rise. Today was perhaps the first time where we've been up against a team which clearly came for a point, there was very little room to play in final third. Even so, I thought Sporar looked lively.
