I dont think the fee weighed down heavily on him, he just wasnt good enough, he was an average, invicable, plodding midfielder, today gane showed what he is all about, non excistent

Nothing wrong with him as a player.
A good solid player at championship level.
He does his job and he does it well.
It's just we payed 7 million and expected him to be worth that.
He just isn't and everyone knows it including the man himself.
And that's our clubs fault not his.

Nothing personal, but a signing that wrangles with me massively. 7 million, because he scored 10 goals in the previous season. What is the point in the scouting / recruitment department if we just sign a player based on one seasons' statistics. Summed Pulis up for me to be honest. Same reason we signed Flit

Looked like he calmed Jones down when he was after one of their players - so fair play to him today

He was fairly invisible today as was our midfield. Ball mainly went over their heads.

Didn't Pulis buy Saville for something like £7m. If so he gave a poor return for that amount of money in his time at Boro.

He sent back to Millwall before the whole £7m was paid, so it's a small blessing that he didn't actually cost us that much.

As said above, it's an example of why you shouldn't buy a player based off one season's stats.
He should've been sent off yesterday for the McNair kick alone. How the referee can watch a player just boot another player as he gets away from him and not even give a booking is beyond me.

As much as I agree with what you say Diego, but when the same player tries to take out two seperate players with just kicking out, it doesnt matter if they're awful or not, as a league standard referee he should have seen enough to see that Saville showed no sign to trying to win the ball but take the players out

I agree. I think you have misunderstood my post. I’m just saying it’s pretty standard for this division. They get decisions wrong almost every game. The QPR game I have just watched was the same. It’s a disgrace really
