We didn’t pay 7 for him either as it only hit that figure with promotion and other clauses. Seem to remember reading something when he left we only lost about 1million on the transfer fee so he cost us £5mill.

Monk was inexperienced from the start of the season and still managed the amount of points as Pulis. Coming in and dropping £7m on Flint and £8m on Saville! unforgivable!

Yeah he presented himself as some sort of consultant drafted in to sort out the club whilst at the same time carrying out business like that

To be fair he looked ideal for a pulis side. Think he scored 13 the previous season. That's incredible for a CB. I mean our forwards don't come close.

Yet some how we had a manger who was famous for setplays. Yet managed to make him a none scoring CB. A bit like all our forwards.
