The lad that got a selfie with Rooney…

Watched it from the west and couldn’t believe not one steward went for him especially as he was climbing back over the railing. Straight into the concourse and probably done one from the ground without any challenge.

Embarrassing from the stewards and police who were in the north west corner really, like others have said could’ve easily been someone looking for a fight like what happened at Forest last weekend.

Yeah don't like it. If you're a Man Utd fan, there's a stadium a couple of hours away where you can watch them. (I know it was just a kid, but it still annoys me).

I have to admit Rooney took it well, especially given how badly his team were faring at the time.

although it was a innocent snap taking he could have been attacking him - should have been spotted and somebody head him off before he got to Rooney ...

Typifies the ineptitude of the stewarding at the club.

Could easily have been someone older with a weapon who wanted to harm someone.

Absolutely ridiculous that the kid could be stood with Rooney & there's not a steward in sight.

The club can't complain if they are charged with something.

Fair play to Rooney for the way he handled it.

He's going to grow up to be one of the 'lads' sniffing cocaine off the toilet seats and invading the pitch after every goal... a product of his dad no doubt... wearing a man u shirt at a Boro match should get the electric chair in my eyes, even if he was 9 year old, electrocute the b****d
There was plenty of those ‘lads’ in the north stand yesterday.

If it were up to me kids wouldn't be allowed to go to games at all, the annoying little sods. Seriously though, on a day when we were all anticipating that it might kick off a bit it was a bit concerning that somebody could get all the way to the dugout without being challenged or apprehended.
For mobility issues (my lad is on crutches), I was actually in the front row of the north stand yesterday. I assumed at first, due to age and attire he was actually a ball boy running round to swap with his mate or something.

I wondered is a few of the stewards did too.

Although that doesn't excuse not rugby tackling him on the way back and choking him out.......

That’s a bit of a leap from a bit of high jinks that he’s gonna done out in for years…

He shouldn’t have done it, they should have stopped it but no real harm done..

Hardly worth condemning him to a life of crime…

Of course you may just have been commenting tongue in cheek

What the hell were his parents thinking..
Buying him a man u shirt?
Many years ago my son said "Dad can I have a Peter Schmeical goalkeepers top" and I replied "No you can have a Stephen Pears one or nothing at all". I could have lost him to the dark side at that moment. Or mabye it was a cunning plan by him as he really wanted the Pears shirt but made sure I would shell out for it.:LOL:
