100% agree withSheffield Wednesday need their deduction too, they've outright cheated rather than been bad with money.

The punishment for Sheff Wed needs to be more severe to prevent other clubs from doing it.Sheffield Wednesday need their deduction too, they've outright cheated rather than been bad with money.
I have posted lots before that Paul Cook is a fine manager. He will keep them up even with this 12 point deduction.
Playing in front of no fans wont phase Wigan - they don't anyway - and their post lockdown results indicate there is major fight in them.
Its all well and good people saying I hope they don't go down if it is to save us, but I'm sorry I do. I hope they can stay up too, but I am concerned about the future of our club first and foremost.
It's to prevent clubs from going into administration just to wipe out their debts and start over. Its like when a player conceeds a penalty and then is also sent off - a double whammy. Going itno administration is punishment enough I would think!
Wonder if there’s been handsome envelopes passed overReally feel for Wigan, as many have said a decent club that won the FA Cup against all the odds only 7 years ago.
Agree with Erimus that it stinks that Derby and Wednesday are still waiting for their punishment, when, it would appear from the outside they have deliberately tried to flout the rules (similar to Man City) and really look like they are going to get away with it!!!
Can’t imagine a football club honestly doing that ( oh hold on )It's to prevent clubs from going into administration just to wipe out their debts and start over.
Yes I recall you posting about him before, he's certainly done well of alte, I have more time for the Cooks, Warnock, Dych of this world than a manager who can buy any player they wishI have posted lots before that Paul Cook is a fine manager. He will keep them up even with this 12 point deduction.

Dave Whelan who is their Gibbo , today on talksport was exasperated. He had no inkling of it comingReading their forum they are stunned by this and never saw it coming as they only just changed hands. Some good points raised about how the EFL approved the new owners as fit and proper: https://forums.vitalfootball.co.uk/forums/latics-speyk.76/
Blimey stop it ! AaaarghThis is all assuming they are able to continue and actually finish the season?
If they aren't able to complete fixtures do they expunge all points gained against them?
If so we would lose 4 points. That would shake things up a bit
Surely that would penalise other teams not just Wigan, taking points off teams who have won them within the rules of the game & could relegated a team that is safeThis is all assuming they are able to continue and actually finish the season?
