We've accepted a bid of £12m for Tav

If he goes he goes.
Let's be honest here, we've no idea about our financial situation or indeed who we talking to in terms of incomings.
If it turns out that we don't reinvest the transfer fees then that's what it is. If we do and it doesn't work out as we would hope then again, to sound Mowbray-esque, it is what it is.
The club needs to be run as a business because we're in this league and our success or failure ultimately won't be down to one player.

Can't understand the logic of selling Tav and for a relatively low fee - people doing these deals are out of touch and have their own agenda.

He's a decent player but hasn't really stood out as high quality for me. Thought we may have got more for him just because he's young, English and had 2 years left on his contract.
For all we know the club may need the money for ffp if we are getting more strikers in.
Wouldn't want to go down the Derby route.

I think we'd better get used to this. It's the model the club has decided to follow with the the appointment of Kieran Scott. Bring in young talent and sell on when a good enough bid comes in, and re-invest. OK, Tav was here before we decided to go this way, but he's still a product of the academy and the right age to sell. The timing is shït, but that's life. The team on saturday will be interesting with McNair suspended and still no striker. Let's hope that Forss has at least been allowed to train with the first team and is ready to go.

The timing is awful, especially with Tavs apparent ta ra at Preston and Wilder in that post match interview stating we would get good money for 2 of our players, 1 of which we knew (Spence). Obviously it’s up to the club to determine his value and I dont have any right to demand mega money signings but I really hope they have known that this was going to happen and they have got some decent midfielders lined up. I dont think we are going to get a like for like with Tav but the mix has to be spot on with the central 3. I do think the club will spend big for the right players and the gaps will be filled but at the minute I feel really deflated.

Disappointed to see him leave however he seems to get regular pelters on here and from the fans at the game, so don’t blame him for looking elsewhere.

He‘s spent half of his games watching the ball getting booted over his head thanks to Pulis and Warnock, then his time under Woodgate was running around like a headless chicken thanks to the lack of tactics and complete disconnection between defence, midfield and attacks.

Now we have a decent manager who plays football on the floor and has clear directions to all the players, he has stepped up massively and become one of the two most important players in the team alongside Jones.

Who knows if we had a gentleman’s agreement with him at the start of last season. The numbers seem okay given he’s never played in the top flight, I think he’ll go from strength to strength and will end up at a bigger club than Bournemouth - ultimately it’s a short career and you can’t blame anyone for securing their future given the wages likely to be on offer.

Massive praise to the academy and club for producing another £10m + player.
In fairness subbuteo I think he got a lot more pelters pre Wilder. He has lokked the best he’s been since we got a top manager in.

Why not? Assuming Forss signs for £2m, that's £2m spent on six players.

As I said, sign Greaves, O'Hare and one of either Jakobsen or Gyokeres, Muniz on loan, Choudhury on loan and our net spend will be virtually zero.
You are living in a dream world if you think Gibson will spend that.

I wish he was staying. However, those saying he is worth 20m+ means there are 19 PL managers who have missed a right trick letting Bournemouth steal him for half that

Accepted what's on offer. Gives RM the chance to step up....... Goalscorers cost money & unless you score, you draw or lose... That's our preference..... Let's see

It's the Brentford model we have been all wanting to follow. The days of me getting upset over her highly paid prima donnas leaving has long gone.

I honestly believe only Middlesbrough fans think that fees too low
Guess it’s what you compare it to. Keane Lewis-Potter has just gone for over £17m. Probably not much between them. I get the feeling we’ve exhausted our negotiating abilities on Spence and can’t be bothered anymore.

Good luck to Tav.

I remember when he came on as sub at Stoke one Saturday evening when Pulis was manager and he looked like a kid who was playing in a grown ups match.

He’s come on a long way since then. If he could score goals regularly he would be going for a lot more.

I never understand this, they're in the Premier League, it's that simple. Crowds don't matter, it's a chance for him to showcase his talent at the highest league level in the world, if he stays here and has a poor season he might never get that opportunity again. I wouldn't care if it was Carlisle, if they're in the Premier League then you can't blame a player for wanting to go there.

I don't think £12m is a million miles away either. £12m, a few add ons, % of next sale etc and I think it's fine. We can't directly replace him but no reason why we can't go and get a couple of £5m midfielders to really add strength and depth to the midfield which we are badly lacking.
Of course crowds matter.. also ,yes he can play every week in the premier league, chasing shadows in a poor team in front of his 12000 fans..
If this transfer happens, he will be back in the champo next season...

I too think selling him is good for the club, we could get a few players in with the cash, that can aid our chance in this crazy division..
All I was saying is Bournemouth will be struggling all season, so he wont get much chance to showcase his talent tracking back all game!!!
