We've accepted a bid of £12m for Tav

12m would be an absolute joke, considering we got 12.5m for Spence (plus addons) who wasn't even good enough to be in our squad, and who most of us think Jones is better than, and who plays in a position which most clubs don't even use as a formation, not to mention how many decent RWB/RB's there are kicking about. Then lets not forget that Tav was out highest rated player since Wilder came in, over the course of his games.

Every team needs CM's, and there doesn't seem to be many good young ones around in centre mid, box to box, like what Tav does, 12m makes no sense for two years left on his contract. How are we meant to attract a replacement who can plug that hole?

The only way I could understand it, is if we had a release clause (which would have been daft to insert), or an agreement with Tav, based on his last contract and as well as us already having two replacements in the bag (and I'm not counting McGree as one of those replacements).

Our midfield would be left with Crooks (who is good) but also the most booked player in the league (and hence missed a load of games), a guy who barely played last year (I think he'll come good mind) and Howson who's obviously getting on a bit. It's difficult to imagine those three being available or capable to play 46 games.

Again a player who has played in the Premier League and at a major international tournament and is younger than Tav.
13 appearances. The fact it’s 10m plus adds is an absolute disgrace- irrelevant of other players coming in we’ve yet again undersold players without having replacements lined up or signed. Typical Boro.

Because we’re heavily in debt (albeit to Gibson) and the chairman will want some money back and ensure we don’t end up in more trouble finically
apparently, we lost over £30m recently so I'm sure that we'd have to find the cash from somewhere, although we gave away the gate receipts for the Spurs game last season, so you tell me what's going on?

Djksteel, Jones and Fry next maybe? I wouldn't hold my breath

I mean it's not a fact just because you say it's a fact. I'd have liked more but I don't think it's miles off, most the players that went for more money you can see why they did, the only one that is a bit of an outlier is Webster and funnily enough that's the one everyone brings up every time.

As much as most of us don't rate Spence, he got in the Championship team of the season, played for England U21's and he's a couple years younger than Tav. He was always going to go for more money.

It's called F***ing investing in the club the owner has to have the ambition to F***ing invest or what is the point he should sell up if this is the ambition he has the club is losing its way. We were meant to be challenging for the title but 3 days before opening day we sell out best player an shambles

Don’t disagree it’s not miles off but why let him go two days before without signing a replacement. Fancy Wallace and Swift against our 3? It’s clearly a struggle to sign players but we should not be letting him go before the West Brom game unless we are signing a CM in the next 24 hours.

Give our best player away

He’s English
He’s young
he’s under contract
He scores goals

In today’s market he’s worth

20-30 million easliy.

£10m is a disgrace. Even with the extra £2.5m in add ons, it is a ridiculously poor fee. Why do we always seem to have our pants pulled down?

Tav going will leave an absolutely massive hole in not just the squad, but our best 11. If we've signed McGree as a replacement with a view to Tav leaving, it's absolutely shocking business as he is nowhere near the same player.

Really gutted and disappointed at this. The fact it's come at such a late stage is so annoying too. Leaves us well short of midfield quality for Saturday.

Why does everyone go on about Bournemouths crowds like we are Newcastle jezz give your heads a shake. Do we really think a professional footballer gives a crap between 10k and 20k etc. No one cares
When we signed McNair from Sunderland when they went down to League 1 I recall anyone saying that they were shocked he came here when he played for a bigger club.

Size of club is massively overrated.

RIght let me say this again it’s not about the crowd ok it’s about keeping a stadium so ridiculously small by design it hold just over 11 thousand by design and they have no intention of expanding.

Yet other inc us had to pay to upgrade our ground when we went up

It stinks how they

No im Not they have a ridiculously small ground to be at that level but they have no intention of extending it when other clubs have been forced to upgrade when they get promoted.

It’s not about size of crowd it’s about designing small crowds into their game plan thus limiting away support.

The prem should force a non allocation of 30 k at this level or force them to allow 3 k away fans.

All built on shady Russian money there is nothing organic about it.
Some terrible statements there, your making elitist suggestions that would deter the dreams of most lower league fans.

You've lost your head here, we moved because the Premier League requires an all seater stadium.
