Violence returning to football - sickening

Find a stadium that isn't owned by any football club (Pride Park)
Then lock them all inside and let them fight it out.
last man standing gets to fight the next lorry load of thugs.
They can smash themselves and the stadium to pieces.
They would love it.
And nothing of any real value to football will be damaged.
Problem solved.
The Russians quite often do this, Go on you tube theres plenty of organised fights between rival teams in, fields , car parks, parks .... its where they practice to do the english

It's a general trend that aligns with the ethos of this government. Right wing politics stokes violence, always has, always will. I mean politicians slamming people with empathy for being 'woke', essentially undermining empathy, stoking hatred of europeans via brexit, using muslim girls as hate figures for their own political gains. It's all part of an organised strategy and intended to create some trouble, that will then allow them to introduce more oppressive laws.
There is always more social unrest under the Tories - they create a culture of hate and anger designed to divide and enrage the masses

ARe you telling me hooliganism didn’t exist under Labours rule in the 70’s?
nope, I'm not telling you that, happy for you to show where I did say that though.

I'm talking about today, the government we have today and the culture of hate, the lack of opportunities, and the poverty they have created.

We're all football fans here, and I bet every single one of us has claimed that football fans aren't inherently violent, they are reflective of society.....a rise in football violence, is just an indicator of society breaking because of government mismanagement. Just like labour (And the tories) mismanaged the 70s. The biggest difference here, is that 2021 Tories are doing this as policy, whereas 1970s labour and tories did it through incompetence.

There are plenty of habitual hooligans in the past who have been locked up, and plenty of highly paid head doctors and criminologists who have tried to figure it out. And I bet they don't blame governments.

of course, governments aren't to blame for the existence of born sociopaths and all peoples problems. I never said they were. But they are to blame for creating an atmosphere of hate, of depriving young people of opportunity, of stoking nationalism and getting more people to act sociopathic. I mean you're acting like this government haven't tried to create discourse in society. Weird, because some of you are the same people that are banging on about this government trying to our take freedoms away, and guess what, that creates a violent reaction too.

It's a decade long culture war aimed at splitting the working population, stopping them working together to tax the rich

lack of opportunity, poverty, poor upbringing, poor education -- all directly the responsibility of governments. I'd think those criminologists do blame government failures.

said without a hint of irony, hilarious
Wrong again Mart, the only irony here is in your eagerness to blame the gvt you have overlooked the facts.

let me explain , the OP to which you responded mentioned two incidents of football violence.

let’s look at the facts of the first:

“Police said eight Napoli fans and a 27-year-old man from Leicester were detained following a street fight about a mile from the King Power Stadium.
A 39-year-old man from Italy was also detained on suspicion of racially abusing a taxi driver”

So tell me again the bit about how Boris and the brexiteera are responsible for eight violent and one racist Italians?

like I said keep digging.

They're not but as you said that wasn't the only incident mentioned, and the thread as a whole is looking at the rise of football violence here. So my comments are spot on and no amount of deflection and gaslighting from you will change that.

I think you are conflating your agenda with the facts. Two examples were given on the op- I’ve disproved your assertion on one of them. So then we have one example of football violence left - that doesn’t make for rising football violence does it now? Most countries have football violence and have done for years and years now, to extrapolate this one case linking it to the gvt and brexit makes no sense.

do you have evidence to support your initial post?

Im not gas lighting you just calling you out on your post which there is no evidence at all to support.

It's common knowledge and if I could be bothered to check we will see that there is more violence now than 10-20 years ago.

Violence in football has always been a reflection of greater society, this isn't a contentious comment. Neither is the one above.

What next the rise in racism is nothing to do with government and doesn't exist????

Argentina and Brazil have some of the worst football hooligans going.

both countries have had more left wing governments than right
