Teesside started at 15% increase at lockdown and increased to 33% after a week falling to 25% a few days later. But from those high increases early on in lockdown, Teesside has been below the national average for the last 3-4 weeks.

Whoever signed off on the movement of positive tested patients been moved into care homes should face charges of genocide and extortion. Wether that's 1 person or 20, every single one of them should stand trial.

I scanned the report earlier. 25,000 were moved from hospital to care homes from mid-March to mid-April. These were untested. I think it was Boris who said the numbers moved weren't out of the ordinary. That may be right, but a pandemic is not ordinary times.

They haven't included anything in the explanatory notes to that effect. The positive test numbers each of the past few days have summed to the cumulative totals, which usually means there haven't been any retrospective adjustments.

That said, the published numbers for overall tests (all tests not just postive ones) have been retrospectively adjusted every day for the past week, so it could be that to which the person on twitter is referring.

I know it's a small snapshot but I've read today that the Orkney Islands have no cases of covid-19 yet their schools are still shut. That's a travesty.
