Good night

You are doing the right thing AET by coming on here when you feel down, it's a great community when it wants to be, a virtual 'the Grapes'if you like, although not sure who Tommy is (erimus?)

Power lifting could be right up your street mate, fatties (your words not mine) are good at powerlifting.

Without boring you too much, you lift weights as heavy as you can for a few reps.

You’d be surprised how quickly you improve and how much of a buzz you get out of it.
Yes sounds good I do take the point sadly I’m crippled with vestibular neuritis (or vertigo in layman’s terms) and head/ear pain at the moment so wouldn’t be able to do it.

Clearly the grapes is a pub in a popular culture reference I don’t get ??
Thanks mate

I think it’s been suggested before, but yoga may help? Might be something you can do despite the vestibular neuritis?
My wife was diagnosed with moderate to severe postnatal depression last year and moderate anxiety, and she started doing yoga on an evening.
She was just following half hour videos on YouTube, but she found it really helped her cope with both the depression and anxiety. Calmed her down and cleared her head a little bit before bed, which helped her sleep better, which in turn helped her cope with everything a little better.
I hope you find something that helps you get through this.

I also hope you can take a little comfort in the knowledge that many of us have been through similar experiences to the one you are currently living, and have come through the other side and returned to happier times.
It can often feel like it’s never going to end or things will never get better, but plenty of us on this forum are testament to that not being the case.

Good morning aet and fellow boro supporters. Its drizzly here today but I am off for 2 weeks so looking forward to a bit of rest from work.

Pm me aet if you fancy a chat, I am rubbish at doing sympathy but can listen well a wife and 4 daughters taught me that skill.

Surprisingly so is having a goldfish. I've looked after my daughter's goldfish for the past nine years. I am convinced the wee thing knows when I'm around. I also looked after a friend's parrot for 8 weeks - it had my accent off to a tee and (without warning) wished me "Night-night" one evening. Nearly fainted. All true. Honestly. 🐋🦈🐬🐦🐥🐧
My wife sat in the car as I went to drop off a parcel at a house. No one answered the door but someone shouted 'the doors open' I tried it about 10 times each time being told it was open. Next door popped their head out and said it's the parrot.

Pleased to hear that they succeeded AET.

I've never really suffered from any mental illness, luckily, although my wife has the black dog visit from time to time, so it's always difficult to understand what you are going through.

It must be awful, and you must be so strong to keep going. I think the fact that you are able to speak to and contact the services out there speaks volumes for your inner strength.
