Football Manager 2024

Restated my save as well. Doing a bit better this time, hovering just outside the playoffs going into December but a run never feels far away :)

Battered Man U 3-1 at home in the cup, Geordies away in the QF to come.

Luka Romero (IF) from Milan on loan is decent and currently keeping Jones out of the team (or at least pushing him to L-IF).

Hackney has struggled to get in my team if I'm honest - LOB and Howson have had the MF sewed up.

Wingback on support, inverted winger attack, segundo volantes both on support. If i'm chasing a game I will change one of them to attack but only when I'm chasing the game.
Cheers.

I gave your 4231 tactic a go with the segundo volantes and inverted winger ago along with the instructions and beat Leads 4-1 away from home in the first game of using it (y)

Just about to head into January in the first season in 5th place, will definitely be bringing a striker in as I just can't seem to get a consistent tune out of Lath or Coburn... too realistic for my liking.

Greenwood up front is the way to go. He's got 25 goals in 22 starts for me so far. He's no Chuba but he's decent.

Been forced to play Greenwood on the left because McGree is constantly picking up knocks... I've seen others playing Bangura on the left so I might give it a go in my FA Cup 3rd round game at Southampton 😂

Bangura on the left is the way to go, he's done well for me there. I've got McGree moaning now, complaining about not being played as a playmaker :)

Played my first season. Not been good. 10th, about 10 points off the playoffs. Tried a few different tactics and had some great and terrible results but no consistency (except for a 6 game losing streak where I thought I was bound to get sacked). Had some decent players in in loan (Pellistri, Hannibal, Maatsen, Pape Sarr) and sold Hackney in January for £18m.

Seem to spend most of the season dealing with players constantly whining. Howson, Jones, McGree, Forss and McNair have all complained constantly.

I play him on the left as an IF (A) he's killing it! McGree and Silvera are taking it in turns to get injured

annoying this new laptop has an issue with waking up from Standby mode, so I had to restart and play the Blackburn game again - won 3-0

I got promoted, ended up second, our form collapsed after losing to Man City in the FA cup semi final. We'd had an easy path to get that far and matched City until near the end when we shipped a few goals trying to chase the game. I told the players I was proud of them despite losing and half of them got confused and upset 👸 Lost all 3 league games after that after being on top form and top of the league beforehand.

Not sure how I'm going to approach the Prem but some of the players, who've got their cards marked for moaning, are going 🥾

I was tempted by the Netflix version but I read there was a problem with saving/loading. Got the full version for Steam via CDkeys for £28.

I quit, got sick of the players, the final straw was after I told them I was confident we could avoid relegation from the prem and they were all insulted by it 😁
Applied for a few jobs and am at Seville now, Graham Potter is at Boro.
