Disabled supporters assistants made to use black season card

Ah right, here's a few then.

“Almost as soon as the meeting opened, the representatives of the Thai Banks were shouted at by Mr Steve Gibson, a director of the Development Corporation, stating that ‘… I will not recognise the agenda. This meeting will not last five minutes …’ before trying to throw the agenda across the table at the Thai Banks’ representatives. The Development Corporation’s team, then 12, walked out of the meeting after less than half an hour in the meeting room.”

"You're shaking your head, you'll be F***ing shaking it again soon, I'll be F***ing shaking it."

"I want your walls and I want your eyes out of your head; I want the F***ing roof off your house; I want your kids out of private school; I want no shoes on your F***ing feet; that's what is going to happen."

"Do you understand that? You F***ing answer the question. You've got 21 F***ing days and Armageddon is coming."
Ah I understand now. That explains why the card is black. All so clear now.

Wait all you like.
If you want to go down that route then I think you need to provide evidence to backup your claim that Gibson doesn't care about disabled people.
I won't be waiting.
I'll be honest based on what I've heard in terms of how he discussed the carers (not disabled people) basically being leeches and getting free tickets and being a drain on the finances, it definitely hasn't remotely suprised me how all of this has unfolded.

If he said that then that is outrageous and certainly more relevant than the alleged quotes from the port meeting above.
Whether he meant carers as opposed to disabled people they are still verging on discrimination.
When did he say those things? Are they public knowledge?

Were you actually at the meeting you are talking about?

You said yourself you had no doubt the black card was introduced for any reason other than a business one.
You also agreed it was probably Steve Gibson's decision.
You said you weren't sure of the direction I was going in with my 'objectional characteristics' comment.
I've provided examples of his 'objectionable characteristics'.

Club been on the blower again?

No I was not, but neither were you. This was prior to the msf meeting (if memory serves). However, I am reliably informed he repeatedly mentioned about people getting free tickets (1000 I think was the number he claimed) and said they were draining the finances and was a reason for the price increase.

He may well have used more careful language in the msf meeting, I don't know.

Edited to correct language.

I think we should all press pause and step back from this thread. It is heading towards some really dark waters for all sorts of reasons and could be exceptionally damaging to lots of groups of people.
Please lets press pause on this for the evening.

I apologise unreservedly to

Block_4_Eastender

I was at Hurworth on Thursday and asked questions to get you an answer - I posted my response too quickly without waiting til I got home and was sent the photo of the card. I then posted the card on here because it would have been dishonest not to do that. It was my mistake. I probably asked the wrong question. do disabled now get a black card?
Anyway, does anyone know what colour the card was last season? As Scrote points out there are several colours for season cards and presumably for staff at the Riverside. And maybe just maybe some of the helpers will choose to go digital soon.
Anyway, am not an agent for Boro. I am a fan that tries to build bridges etc. Am certainly not in any way anti carer or disabled. I was away from here this afternoon because I have been volunteering giving carers and care home residents history tours of St Hilda's Middlesbrough. I was also trying to arrange a new fanzine workshop for people with assisted needs, hopefully working with Boro again as we did earlier in the year with Middlesbrough First/Larchfield. It all seems a little ironic.
I know there is so much work going on at the Riverside right now to increase accessibility for all and really make Boro welcoming to able/disabled/assisted needs and take that out into the community.
But I apologise once more for my part in escalating this situation. I will step back now from this.
Rob thanks very much for your apology which I accept. I realise you posted in a hurry. I just wish you weren’t as quick to call me out.
Once again though apologies accepted.

You heard it from auntie Jackie’s sisters brothers boy?

Ahem. Enough people on here know who I am for me to justify beyond what I said.
You’re making claims about what was said in a meeting that you weren’t in attendance for nor have the meeting minutes.

Whoever has told you something has broken the trust of the club by releasing information that wasn’t supposed to be which leads me to question what is said as it isn’t trustworthy in my opinion .

That's fine. Believe what you wish.

I just wondered which of his many objectionable characteristics you think led to the decision of a black card.

Criminals were marked with green inverted triangles, political prisoners with red, "asocials" (including Roma, View This Term in the Glossarynonconformists, vagrants, and other groups) with black or—in the case of Roma in some camps—brown triangles. Gay men and men accused of homosexuality were identified with pink triangles. And Jehovah's Witnesses were identified with purple ones. Non-German prisoners were identified by the first letter of the German name for their home country, which was sewn onto their badge. The two triangles forming the Jewish star badge would both be yellow unless the Jewish prisoner was included in one of the other prisoner categories. A Jewish political prisoner, for example, would be identified with a yellow triangle beneath a red triangle..

Yey for inclusivity!!
Oh ffs
I suppose Godwin's Law would eventually occur in this thread. Bravo.
