If you look at the league table from the same point last season, City were on the same number of points but only one point off top. There's an argument that Haaland hasn't actually tangibly improved them as yet.
Haaland probably hasn't improved City but that's only because they can't be improved by much. They got 93 points and scored 99 goals in the PL last season. They've won the league 4 of the last 5 seasons and came 2nd the other season. He lets them play a different way and they will be hoping he makes the difference in the one-off knockout games in the later rounds of the Champions League. If you look at the league table from the same point last season, City were on the same number of points but only one point off top. I wonder what the Pope said?
Yes, agree.Haaland probably hasn't improved City but that's only because they can't be improved by much. They got 93 points and scored 99 goals in the PL last season. But much like the Ronaldo argument, he himself has performed no question (as Ronaldo did last season). They've scored 11 goals more than this point last season though, and more goals than the 2 seasons before that too.
He was brought in to score goals and he's got 18 goals in 13 games.
Not yet, but the signs are good and suggest they have a better chance the CL (the main trophy they so desperately want). But as yet, hard to say he's made them 'better'.
Yes it is hard to make a case for that being a good idea. At the time though I can see why they did it.Not yet, but the signs are good and suggest they have a better chance the CL (the main trophy they so desperately want).
Whereas last season the early signs of Ronaldo improving Utd weren't there - even with him scoring goals....and since it's been proved a terrible signing (both on and off the pitch)...regardless of the amount of goals he scored.
He called in sick so he could attend the interview with Morgan.Noticed United only had 8 subs yesterday - was Ronaldo the 9th and then ill?
Notice interview released after last game before World Cup - so bridges maybe being burned?
Classic Ronaldo. Always makes it about him to the detriment of everyone elsePortuguese journalist been on the radio, cross with Ronaldo for potentially damaging Portugal’s chances in the World Cup with the surrounding noise acting as a distraction.
You mean the man Utd team that played Mctominay, Fred, Maguire, Lindelof and Rashford all well out of form or not good enough?Where did the born winner help Man United finish last season?
I'll give you a clue, it was a good few places lower than the season before he joined.
Just watched that BBC documentary on Messi. Always been the best for me, the creativity, the vision that no one else sees, the goals, the artistry, but I love his whole lack of ego. His mindset. Does his Talking on the pitch and quiet outside of it. Confident but not cocky. Obviously a really humble, nice guy who deserves all the success he's had and is also a great team player. All he cares about is being regarded as the best at everything (even though he isn’t) and it’s actually made him worse and it’s effecting the teams he plays for. Messi is the best. Better person too
Great player in his time, but he offers nothing anymore than being a finisher, albeit still an excellent one
