Reading haven't been relegated.Interesting how we did so well against Stoke and struggled at Preston considering McNair should be improving the team. He is a decent all rounder, but probably on high wages and could command a fee.
Sporar has been protected by Wilder - 100% certain he will be gone. Same for Connolly but he was a Wilder signing.
I expect Lumley, Ikpeazu and Hall to go.
Akpom is the only player abroad today to my knowledge and will go.
Bola has been poor in recent months, but it might be just a dip.
Howson has been one of the better performers and deserves a new contract for 1 year possibly 2 on reduced rates.
I watch some of the Luton game and I thought Lucas Joao looked a handful - he is strong, tall and mobile and has some interesting foot trickery - certainly more to his game than any of our forwards. 35 goals in 79 games for Reading. Reading relegated so will have to sell him, I would have thought.
He is a handful, has always been a good player at this level, but always injury prone. Great footwork for a big guy, far too good for Reading to be honest.I watch some of the Luton game and I thought Lucas Joao looked a handful - he is strong, tall and mobile and has some interesting foot trickery - certainly more to his game than any of our forwards. 35 goals in 79 games for Reading. He lacks strength and pace for a CB, he isn't mobile enough in midfield. He's an ok player, a great squad player, but we need to find a way to make him a bench player long term. The only thing with McNair is this tendency to makes stupid mistakes
Interesting that he was "ill" for the match against Stoke last week ..... managed by his long time admirer and ex-Northern Ireland manager
Paddy has been one of our best players this season alothugh he's had a poor last few games. The way wilder publicly disrespected and criticised him was bang out of orderTotally agree, Paddy is one of our best players. Would be a negative step if he leaves.
What did he say?Paddy has been one of our best players this season alothugh he's had a poor last few games. The way wilder publicly disrespected and criticised him was bang out of order
He's not a wilder type player I said when wilder joined the club payeros time would be up. As he eluded to today he's not interested in ability and quality as much as attitude.Payero hasn’t had much of a chance - far less than others. Deserves a chance IMO
Don’t we know itYou don’t like wilder do you glover
I hope he proves me wrong but I very much doubt it.. According to you he's the best manager in the championship let's hope your right he will need to be if he's ripping up the squad and starting from ground zero again.Don’t we know it
It would be very harsh to bin Payero on the grounds of attitude so early in his Boto life. He’s a young lad, moved half way around the world and is playing for a local club in the Champo. Plus he was starting to show some metal then got injured. He should at least be given some allowance for all of that and a run of games in the side. It would be premature to just him him off, imo. He's not a wilder type player I said when wilder joined the club payeros time would be up. He is the best. Wouldn’t swap him for anyone. Steve Cooper very impressive too but Wilder track record second to noneI hope he proves me wrong but I very much doubt it..
