Because they watch too much GB News
That’s a different argument though, although I agree with you. MMR, TB, Smallpox etc were vicious diseases, but not at pandemic levels when people chose not to take them. They could actually make their choice, however considered or misguided, without a real fear of impacting their fellow men.Same reason people don’t get their kids vaccinated against things like Measles or Mumps - things that had been pretty much eradicated in this country due to vaccines but are now becoming more prevelant. They read some bullshït on the internet or listen to some conspiracy theorist spouting bollöcks.
That’s true, but the reasons are the same. That’s a different argument though, although I agree with you. It’s not the Government’s advice here, though, it’s the medical professionals, scientists and regulators. Whitty, Vallance, Van Tam et al have been unequivocal in their recommendations. They have also made clear how apolitical they are and must remainAgreed but can genuinely see why people wouldn't trust this lot to run a bath. I'm not aiming to be political, but this government have handled this pandemic terribly. Their mismanagement has cost lives.
I haven’t read much about it, but haven’t all the scientists with any credibility stated that any adverse reactions happen soon instead of years later. And that being based on all of the previous vaccines.Because, over a longer period of time, it could emerge that certain risks may have been present in taking it, that no one is aware of just yet, as is the case with all “new things”. And some people may feel hesitant about that.
I don’t know but I imagine most people don’t have an intimate knowledge of vaccination history etc. It isn’t totally absurd, though, to worry about it, in my opinion.I haven’t read much about it, but haven’t all the scientists with any credibility stated that any adverse reactions happen soon instead of years later. And that being based on all of the previous vaccines.
I don’t think there is any history of vaccines laying dormant in people then causing them harm years later.
I agree mate but this is one of the pitfalls of allowing a lack of accountability and lies to fester. For some, lines will be blurred and they won't trust anybody seen to be 'authority'.It’s not the Government’s advice here, though, it’s the medical professionals, scientists and regulators. Make them wear arm bands and all be moved into a quadrant in the city that is surrounded by walls ..........Oh that’s been done in the past if I remember correctly !Lack of education, stupidity and mistrust of authority. Pathetic really. I would suggest that there is a disproportionate amount of them who are religious as well. They can put their faith in some mysterious god but not in science. I would make them shop at specific times call it covid hour ban them from public transport and let employers suspend them if they refuse the vacince time to get tough
Usually in the first 6 weeks all adverse reactions happen from what I can find.I haven’t read much about it, but haven’t all the scientists with any credibility stated that any adverse reactions happen soon instead of years later. And that being based on all of the previous vaccines.

Yes, they are. I work with a lad who is JW and he has had both. He said the vaccine's don't have blood products in them, which would have been his reason for not having it.Does anyone know if Jehovahs Witnesses are having the vaccine as I believe they shun other medical interventions ?
Much of it down to misinformation in the communities. In particular the older generations who don't use SM and who get their news by word of mouth and take it as 'gospel', so all it takes is for one community leader to say its not halal so don't take it, mistakenly, and the entire community follows suit. This is very hard to reverse which is why we have community engagement officers actively going into these 'hard to reach' communities to convey the truth, but it is hard work and takes time. We've seen on a large scale within the Bangladeshi community, where we have had bengali speaking colleagues engaging in person with the community, its the only way to change opinion, nothing else has any significant effectYes, they are. There does however seem to be a poor take up amongst many in the Islamic community, despite the vaccines being classed as Halal. Does anyone know the reason for this?
to be fair to anyone not taking a vaccine - it's not their fault that our government is ****.and it’s these people who keep pushing back our ability to remove restrictions or travel abroad
