Why would you not take a vaccination?

Yup I suspect you are. Saying you haven't heard a single coherent argument it's kinda confrontational and people won't want to engage, I suspect.
Ok, so I change my op to say, “I haven’t yet decided” or, “I’m looking for advice”. Doesn’t that sound sarcastic or just a bit stupid?

Well that's a load of old nonsense
I was basing that on the fact that Most of the people currently in hospital with Covd-19 have not had a vaccine (according to a number of articles) and in terms of the delta , more than half of those who have died with it, have not had a Covid vaccine at all.

Given most of the deaths according to the nhs web site are 60+ and all have been offered a vaccine a long time ago I can only assume that those that have not taken up the offer are getting ill, dying and are now a statistic .

these statistics are what is not allowing us to emerge

But that may mean some form of restrictions for these people, if COVID passports become required for more and more things.
Indeed, and so they would need to weigh that in to their decision. I grew up with friends who suffered the injuries from thalidomide, but also worked in the medical device industry which is now regulated so tightly these catastrophic errors are nigh on impossible.
My argument is more that we, as a race, have come up against a foe so able to destroy us, we must take a leap of faith, trust the scientists, trust the healthcare givers and do the right thing

Because, over a longer period of time, it could emerge that certain risks may have been present in taking it, that no one is aware of just yet, as is the case with all “new things”. And some people may feel hesitant about that.
This and personal choice for some people who think the risk is so small.

I'm fully vaccinated now but know a few people who are not wanting to because they beleive the risk to them is miniscule. It is to be fair but I think being vaccinated is a small price to pay to protect others etc as well as the practical reasons that are likely to emerge on the next few years around travel etc

Lack of education, stupidity and mistrust of authority. Pathetic really. I would suggest that there is a disproportionate amount of them who are religious as well. They can put their faith in some mysterious god but not in science. I would make them shop at specific times call it covid hour ban them from public transport and let employers suspend them if they refuse the vacince time to get tough

Agreed but can genuinely see why people wouldn't trust this lot to run a bath. I'm not aiming to be political, but this government have handled this pandemic terribly. Their mismanagement has cost lives.

How many of those couldn't be vaccinated due to medical conditions?
