Where are you going on holiday this summer?

Been to Iceland in March, fantastic seeing the Northern Lights there and riding a Snowmobile. Just had a few days in Krakow, anyone who goes needs to visit Auschwitz reminds you how horrible the Nazis were, and the Salt Mine. Got a cruise booked round the Mediterranean for July. This retirement lark is well worth it

The salt mine was an unexpected highlight for us too
 
A week in Corfu at the end of July and finally heading to Chicago for a week in October to see my mate who lives over there. That one has been a long time coming.
 
Paphos for me at the beginning of August, can't wait. Just me and the Mrs, looking forward to unwinding and doing very little.
Probably hire a quad and explore the island.
 
It was a week in Turkey but I changed jobs and couldn’t make the planned date anymore. It’s now a week in Rhodes.

Whereabouts?
We had 2 weeks there last June based in a trullo on edge of Alberobello.
Well worth travelling about - some smashing little towns and beautiful countryside.
Matero (Last Bond location), Lecce walled city, Ostuni, Alberobello, Martina Franca, Monopoli all worth a visit.
Avoid Taranto.
Avoid the beaches on a weekend.
Go south to the heel for best beaches.
 
Had a week in the northern mountains visiting a remote tribal village called Ta Xua recently where you’re literally above/within the clouds.

Just spent a week in South Korea. Tad run down now after no doubt damaging my immune system through excess.

Trying to get myself ready for India on Tuesday where after a couple of days in Delhi we’ll get a bus north and rent some Royal Enfields to drive to Ladakh.

Will then either fly to the UK for a month to see family and try to catch one or two good mates who are doing the BBB cycling challenge in Europe, plus a trip to Florence as had some bad news from a friend there.

Or I’ll return to Hanoi after India and have a long weekend in either Hong Kong or Taiwan.

Hectic and right now I just don’t want to feel ill!

Just had 6 nights in Woolacombe in Devon with the in-laws, which was better than it sounds as Grandparents are great for holidaying with toddlers and babies! Stopped at Longleat Safari on the way home, which was great.
Hoping to go somewhere in the Med late September with the other set of Grandparents.
