Whilst I don’t like losing, I am not bothered in truth. It is not a competition we need to be distracted by or pick up injuries and cards in. Boro made many more changes I thought and whilst we were not at our best it showed we desperately need a proper goalkeeper.

That’s exactly it. We have a team that doesn’t mind losing? Where’s their competitive spirit. Imagine Roy Keane being in the middle of that lot.

Although at least he looks to get in behind and gives the opposition a game even if he is erratic.

Staggered how many think it's "good business" given the alternatives (Doak aside) in the wide positions.

A lot of fans bizarrely chuffed that we've so far weakened ourselves this window.

We absolutely have to replace Jones in the squad and I think we will, if the plan was for Jones to leave with Hamilton stepping into Doak's backup then that is baffling. We hardly have anyone that can beat a man and Jones was one of those, he simply has to be replaced.

I'm not writing Hamilton off either, he's hardly played professional football even though he is 21 but he is way off it at the moment.
 
Too many plodders. At least Jones offered something a bit different and wasn’t a sick note.

The likes of McGree and Forss can’t be relied on at all.
 
Well that was shocking!

Team selection was about right I’d say. two main things is so obvious we are so so weak in “every” challenge we make, happened numerous times today when they had ball and went past two of our players and we just stick leg out, 75 min into game there right side there player just walks through burgzog and Engel, maybe theve been told not to be physical by MC but this is major reason we concede imo. And in the championship you need warriors.

Secondly we are so predictable in our build up, slow and ponderous. Even before when we lost games we played good football at times, now the football is so poor to watch.

We are miles away and I think MC needs to think of having a “plan B” because we do not have one, yes he swaps players positions etc but never changes formation or goes direct, 90 mins plus and we still trying to walk it in.

We 100% need 2 full backs, Engel couldn’t pass today, djiksteal again is good one min Sunday league the next. MC has problems if we lose Doak and ELL.

MC and recruitment have a huge month ahead !
