We absolutely have to replace Jones in the squad and I think we will, if the plan was for Jones to leave with Hamilton stepping into Doak's backup then that is baffling. We hardly have anyone that can beat a man and Jones was one of those, he simply has to be replaced.

I'm not writing Hamilton off either, he's hardly played professional football even though he is 21 but he is way off it at the moment.
Yep. It's only good business if we adequately replace him. Time will tell, but I'm not sure it'll be easy.

Agree re: Hamilton. Think has ability but he needs to work out how to affect a game with it.

Mind you McGree isn't currently looking any better.

Not necessarily. Sometimes it’s about playing to your squads strengths and not trying to make technically inferior players knock it about like Man City.
The only coaching I would say this team needs is out of possession way too passive and I have said it for along time, they don't get tight enough and are happy to many times to let players run off the back of them or past them, but going forward when we have a full team we are good..second top scores in the division againt one of the worst conceded.

It was more than just about Glover. It was about the whole team performance.
We waste time faffing around playing the possession game at the back and regularly put ourselves in unnecessary danger. We play side-to-side in front of their defenders and either pass it instead of shooting at goal, or gift it to the opposition.
Of 26 league games, we have kept a clean sheet on just 6 occasions
.
During that time, we've had three different goalkeepers.
We've won just over 40% of our games.
That's not promotion form.

Out in the 3rd round three seasons in a row, quite pathetic.
I couldn't give a fu(k if I'm entirely honest. I'd be more excited if we won a corner against Pompey than won this match. Don't get me wrong, I'd obviously find a win more favourable, but I thought giving our fringe players some gametime and not suffering more injury setbacks was more important.

I think we'll replace him with another loan

1-0 defeat. Would have taken that before kick off to be fair ha.

Only caught the last twenty or but we looked seriously technically limited with zero ideas once we crossed their half. Fair play to Blackburn who dug in but they'll have much more difficult games than that this season.

Anyways, onto the actual objective, the league.

The players don’t look like they give a F***ing ****. Sloppy passes, slow ponderous build up, **** defensive mistakes. They don’t even look F***ing disappointed when they do it…..F***ing pea hearted *****!!

Carrick just stands there like a bloke walking his dog who has stopped to watch a few minutes of the game. It’s F***ing pathetic and it’s far from the first time we have had to endure this crap. Win, lose or draw, I want to see commitment, drive, desire…they should be non negotiables but they are F***ing absent and have been for a long time. Carrick can **** off as far as I’m concerned, cause I’ve seen enough.
Willmunny, Laughing Ravsfan and Corgy da kitty will be after you posting stuff like that - they go running to admin crying like babies….👶

Seems like you have the same attitude as the players….like you don’t care.

A fresh approach needs coaching into the players and that takes time..
Our play is so formulaic when we don't strike any tempo. I'm not sure switching out players would make any lasting difference.

We do nothing to try and upset the pattern of a game when the opposition are comfortable.

I see your point, but it wouldn't do any harm to try and get in behind with the pace we've got. Allow the players to make instinctive decisions every now and again. We look overcoached, but I guess that's modern football.

Today told us our squad limitations.

Glover ok as third choice
Dijksteel decent squad player
Engel poor
Edmundson not what we want. Let him go
Clarke sell not the required pevel
Barlaser not good enough sell
McCabe maybe some promise as a 5th choice right now
Hamilton, needs to be loaned out offers nothing at this level right now
McGree a shadow of the player he was pre injuries sell
Gilbert passable as a squad player
Bergzorg never a striker

If we are serious about promotion there is no place for Engel, Clarke, Edmundson, Barlaser, McGree and Hamilton in this squad. Sorry but it’s pointless beating around the bush

I'm hoping on that performance our fans have finally realised that Gilbert is not the Messiah.

I agree about the over coaching, the amount of times we turn down crosses when in good positions to pass it around the edge of the box is crazy.
