Reported deaths in all settings was 67.

As of 9am on 4 July, 284,900 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the UK under pillars 1 and 2.

0.22% increase in positive tests with 163 Pillar 1.
 
Today's headline analysis:

• 624 new cases reported in 24-hour period, up from yesterday's 544
• 7-day average for new cases decreases by 5.1% to 711 per day, following 8.1% decrease yesterday
• 7-day average for new cases is 25.9% lower than one week ago (from 26.4% lower yesterday) and 43.6% lower than two weeks ago (from 41.4% lower yesterday and 26.6% lower 7 days ago)
• 67 new deaths in all settings reported in 24-hour period, down from 137 yesterday
• 7-day average for new deaths in all settings decreases by 4.6% to 98 per day, following 6.1% decrease yesterday
• 7-day average for new deaths in all settings is 16.1% lower than one week ago (from 14.9% lower yesterday) and 26.1% lower than two weeks ago (from 26.7% lower yesterday and 31.8% lower 7 days ago)
 
Sorry to say Billy & bear for that matter but when you both started these posts I was waiting for the following days post for any good news, any little bit of light at the end of the tunnel then things started to slowly improve & so did the figures quoted & I stopped reading them as much, so well done to the pair of you for keeping up this data day on day, cheers 👍
