Lowest 2nd doses in 3 months. You'd expect the 1st doses to begin to run out of steam but there's still 11.5 million to receive a second dose.
I'm in the first lot that had to get Pfizer (couldn't get AZ and booked the day they became available, at the first slot avilible), now I'm locked into waiting 8 weeks to get the second jab, can't even go to the boro walk-in for a second Pfizer as it's not been 8 weeks yet.

So there's a time block on my second jab, which I assume is also going to apply to everyone wanting a second Pfizer jab, which is probably affecting nubers at the minute.

I expect this will change next week though, as second Pfizer jabs will be starting then, and the uptake in Pfizer for under 40's was quick.

So all they're doing now, must be the last dregs of AZ second doses?

Seeing those numbers, I've just moved my 2nd jab forward 3 weeks and having it 2 weeks today.

Yeah I've pulled mine forward twice from the original date I had, now I'm at the min limit I think.

Got a text this morning from the docs that the North Ormesby vaccine clinic is open to walk ins on 7th-19th July and 21-24th july, for Pfizer 1st jabs or 2nd jabs if it's been 8 weeks.

Thought I could pull it forward a few days, and go there but I'm at the 8 week min limit already. Should have a good 10 days of second dose Pfizer protection once the 19th comes, which is good timing to be honest (y) Just need to stay free of it until then, lasted this long!

Does this mean there is a medical reason and you have to wait 8 weeks or is it a supply problem Andy?

I think it's 8 weeks for government guidance, in the USA it's 3 weeks I think.

That may change I expect, they were probably holding off people's second jabs so they could be used for others first, as pfizer is in shorter supply than AZ i think.

There is some sense in that I suppose.

How do you go about bringing it forward? My second is end of august but could bring it forward to the beginning now I think.

If you go on “book a vaccine” there’s an option to cancel and rebook. The place I originally had booked could only do a day earlier, so I’ve moved to a small village hall and managed to knock 3 weeks of it.

Typically, my little one has come home from nursery and we’ve been told he has to have a pcr test before he can go back as he had a cough this afternoon. It sounds more like croup to us, but you just never know so we’re off to get a test in the morning.
