The 9am figures not disclosed yet?

But with the acceleration of the vaccine roll-out and confirmation that the vaccine works against all variants how likely is it that increased cases will result in greater hospitalizations and deaths?
I thought the AZ vaccine didn't work against the south Africa variant at least? But yes it's helping break the connection between cases and hospitalisations

That's great news

Cases are creeping up though. Mind you we have relaxed restrictions so I guess there is correlation there
It's flat basically, which is some doing since we opened up outside and also since we've now opened up inside too.

Take the three B's away (Bolton, Blackbun and Bedford) and we would still be well on our way down. Just shows how much the vaccine is contributing towards us getting near herd immunity. Those three are just a blip in the road, hopefully.

The issues in Bolton were caused nearly a month ago too now though, but seemingly it is near its peak (and not growing). Once that's under control we should be pretty much home and dry.

As each day goes on a massive chunk of the current major spreaders (under 40's) are getting more and more vaccinated and more and more immune. In 1-3 weeks time a big portion of the 30-40's will have had one dose and will have 2-4 weeks of immunity buildup, which is massive for that age group. One does of pfizer is good for 90% cover after 2 weeks, in the U40's is going to be a game changer. Yes, some immunity will be wearing off in the older groups, but they're also getting second jabs and they're not the ones currently contributing most to spread.

Cases are rising, which I would expect with opening of restrictions and people become vaccine relaxed. But not as high as I was expecting. Hopefully this continues

The rate we’re going through vaccines, I’d expect were at the mid 20 year old’s within the month and on top of that a significant number with their 2nd jab.

With any luck, It’s going to find it harder and harder to create a Bolton or Bedford situation again.
