Once Johnson became PM it created a behavioural and moral vacuum that was the perfect storm for self serving chancers to grift their way into positions way beyond their capabilities.
Turner has all to predictably failed to meet every pledge he made in his PCC manifesto, crime figures have risen and the way he was selected to run for council seems to be outside every selection process other would be councillors have to follow.
His connections with more high profile local Conservative's have served him well and he's certainly made a little go a long way, but everything he does or is involved has some taint, police cautions, right wing rally's, lots of accusations of abuses of power, unexplained sackings from several positions, stories of inappropriate behaviour, I could go on.
Like Johnson it's not his politics that are the problem but his character flaws, lack of professionalism, his dissonance between his belief in himself and his ability, he's out of his depth in a fairly shallow pool.
