He’s taken on the private eye head on and just digging himself a massive hole bu the looks of it

Spouting about 15 million for the site but not substantiating it
 
Drain covers are well and truly off and it's not just dead shellfish stinking the place out.

The strategy adopted by Houchen and his high level Tory paymasters is atrocious misuse of public funds.

A failed businessman at the helm of a billion pound project. What could possibly go wrong?

Love to see him take Hislop on (or vice versa) in the courts. Houchen is out of his depth on a freshly mopped floor.
 
The 15 million that the ‘land’ has been sold for is exactly like when you sell the house you don’t put the fixture and fittings down.

So they’ve sold the scrap metal for 15 million is my guess, and who ever was sold too will have made a whole lot more

He’s a text book Tory. Ignore / Block people who apply the tiniest bit of scrutiny.

Then tries to discredit those who raise valid questions by saying they’re Anti-Middlesbrough, hard left loonies etc. etc. The Brexit nuts employed similar tactics.

For an elected representative he’s a disgrace. Completely divisive and constantly trying to sow division amongst people in the local area, at a time when everybody needs to be pulling in the same direction.

They’re all diversionary tactics of course. If he didn’t haven’t anything to hide, he wouldn’t bend over backwards to avoid scrutiny and questions.

It’s concerning when they start shouting about Labour this Labour that like it’s some left wing political conspiracy for folks to want assurances that public property isn’t just being given away to their mates. I what property Andy Preston has an interest in and when he became involved.

Hopefully this Chris Cooke lad has some sting people around him.. it’s gonna be a tough job.

Chris is the most honest and caring person you'd ever meet, he will build the right team around him.

Running a town with a budget of £360m requires a small team, pressures are relentless not only from opposition politicians but also- rightly from residents and service users.
Chris was never going to be a dictator like Preston was, but will be an excellent team captain.
 
Editor of the Yorkshire Post is visiting Saltburn today. Just taken on a reporter who just left/walked out of the Echo specifically to challenge the democratic deficit on Teesside (at least south of the River) and appears determined to fill the gap left by the Echo & Gazette.

Wonder if Houchen or Clarke or Young will invite him in for a cup of tea.

Have spent money on a paper copy of the YP every Saturday for the last couple of months along with buying Private Eye again, rather than relying on ripping images from Twitter or wherever as these guys need the funds to take on the baddies on our behalf.

Decent paper is the YP. Hope their new guy gets somewhere with this, the whole thing stinks to high heaven.

.......and this is just the start. Houchen thought he was like one of the cabinet big boys - do what they want, get caught no panic - there will be another bigger scandal tomorrow to make people forgot about this one. Only for the people of Teesside they are not letting this happen are they?

The BIG question has to be asked though - who the f*ck voted him in as Tees Valley Mayor???
