Are the details of the land transfer available? Are the projected millions in payments back to the public purse realistic or has Houtchen just pulled them out of his @rse? Have any private concerns put up any collateral at all?

out of genuine curiosity is the new Deputy Mayor being married to the Labour group leader particularly good optics?

Bu that is just the transfer of the land in the register. There is a whole commercial deal behind this which does not seem to be public, apart from the headline figures put out by Houtchen and Clarke - which may not be entirely reliable .

Another Houtchen puff piece in The Evening Pravda refuting the claims of wrong-doing.

Apparently Musgrave and Corney paid South Tees Development Ltd £15m for the intended SeAH land, even though they don't dispute the £96 land registry record.
Also an Australian bank has paid Teesworks upfront (essentially Musgrave and Corney is it not?) tens of 'millions' to lease the rest of the site.
And 'the developers' of the site (presumably the entire site) will likely get £46 million form scrap metal.

So essentially Musgrave and Corney make tens of millions and the TCVA get £650 000 a year over forty years. What a bargain!

Something is rotten in the state of Teesside.

Mayor seeks to ease concerns after claims 90-acre Teesworks site sold for £100
