As a black man who works in the health care system, I agree with what you're saying about the fight for inequality and i don't think you're in any way racist, but the ones who boo, we'll the ones who start the booing are racist, there is no other reason to start booing a knee, the rest are just in that gang mentality of following the big hard racist bigots. Anyway good day to you sir.

Oh he knows the difference. He’s not stupid. In fact he’s using his intelligence to muddy the water and shift the discussion to somewhere a bit safer or mayvbe where he doesn't have to look in the mirror. He wants to defend the booing but can't do that explicitly without looking like a bit of a racist. So he comes up with nonsense about BLM, about the gesture not being enough and all the other *****.

I do take your point Bert. I am not so sure though. He may be saying, very poorly, maybe we should be engaging with racists to change their mindset rather than call them knuckle daggers.

As I pointed out earlier, some folks I know, in an admittedly white, middle class area, just didn't think racism exists in the way it is being portrayed. Some were clearly racist but some, probably weren't and saw taking the knee as... Insulting to them. Like somehow their lives didn't matter.

I think that would have been a really good point to make. He hasn’t made it once though.

The club made the decision because one player questioned it...he is no longer with us...I have been and will be speaking to the club about this issue of booing and taking of the knee on Thursday. The club must do more and better...I like the idea of taking the knee right in front of the South Stand as that is where the predominant amount of boos are coming from...Shameless and embarrassing behaviour

I attend the matches with my nephew and nieces...and I have to try and explain to them why so called football fans are booing and anti racist action.....all I can say to them is they are silly, take no notice....sad sorry state of affairs

Fine let's go with that. So these guys booing and presumably yourself (whether you boo or not, you clearly support the act) are so anti-racist, more so even than the rest of us, that an ineffective gesture to tackle the issue is actually pretty offensive to them. So offensive in fact there's a need to show displeasure at it by booing.

The club is clearly missing a trick here. If it identifies these people they could have a hell of a focus group on their hands about the issue.

As someone so passionately anti-racist yourself you must have loads of ideas about what the club and players could do instead. Obviously doing something is better than doing nothing, I'm sure you agree. You don't think they should take the knee, so what? I'm all ears, you must have loads of thoughts.
