Snake oil salesman Cummings in the sh*t

Ultimately the way the government is reacting to this is so so dangerous. On top of the ambiguous advice coming out of lockdown, the pathetic, childish stunts like changing the podium colours, to then back blatant breaches of lockdown is appalling leadership.

The country has a whole has gone through terrible hardship, some professionals have paid the ultimate price. Then you have a silly man, playing his silly games, because he is better than everyone else.

Shame on the PM, shame on the cabinet and MP’s who support these selfish and dangerous actions, shame on those in the press who continue to defend and shame on any one who voted them but refuse to see the massive error they have made. You were duped, own it.

I hope the country can act more sensibly than Cummings in the coming days, but there are many chomping at the bit to break lockdown. Cummings and his parties defence is going to lead to further deaths. That’s the real story here and that cannot be accepted on any level, no matter what your political persuasion is.

Sir Roger Gale MP (Conservative)

"While as a father and as a grandfather I fully appreciate Mr Cummings’ desire to protect his child. There cannot be one law for the Prime Minister’s staff and another for everyone else. He has sent out completely the wrong message and his position is no longer tenable."

I do hope this will embolden Tory MPs to some out and attack Cummings. Seems there is nothing the public can do to stop this terror. He'll have to be removed from the inside.

I genuinely didn't think I'd see Tory MP's coming out and openly calling for him to quit especially after the protective ring thrown around him by cabinet ministers last night.

These are indeed strange times. Wonder who's doing the daily briefing today? Bet it's the culture secretary with news about football starting up again.

This whole thing is doing massive damage to Schapps. Surely nobody can take anything he says seriously anymore? He’s been made to look absolutely woeful, by Marr and Ridge.

4 and counting ...

Poor BoJo, how can he ask his boss what to do in this pickle. Even Steve ERG Baker breaking ranks on this.
I guess he'll use his standard procedure of hiding and hoping others muddle through the mess without any leadership.

I was expecting a robust defence for cummings from the boards Tory apologist Cheerleader who was on here yesterday saying he would have done the same thing as him...nothing yet though !
