Six nations starts today!!

I enjoyed watching that with one eye on the Boro game. Italy are better than a lot of people give them credit for and have been involved in some exciting games this tournament.

Good game that. Not exciting but a solid ark wrestle of s game. The amount of turnovers England won was immense. I like that level of steel and ability to scrap for the balls we shouldn't have
Shame about Farrell's kicking because the score didn't really reflect the game.

Yeah it was poor today. Although I’ll hold my hands up and say the rest of his game was excellent. Winning the ball back a couple of times isn’t his job but he did it anyway, and that something Smith wouldn’t have done. When he’s kicking like that I wonder if they shouldn’t have given the tee to Slade or Steward

It’s never easy for England in Cardiff but I thought the team fully deserved the win. The score should have been more but they will take it.

Wales points only game from England basic errors too. Bizarrely England could and probably should be 3 from 3 now.

Smalltown - What do you think about Smith being left out of the squad for the France game?

Fuming. It's a bad sign that Borthwick is going away from a style of rugby that is engaging to watch. Especially against France who like an open game too. Could understand it more for Ireland. Defo need the steel of Farrell in that one.

Disappointing decision but I find Smith a luxury player. He wouldn’t worry the All Blacks. That said he should have been used as an impact player.

I would disagree with that. Just because he’s creative doesn’t mean he can’t put a shift in. There’s a lot more to his game than that

As a Quinns supporter I wouldn't expect any other view but I tend to agree with Abel that defensively he's not worth his position in the side and obviously Borthwick feels the same.

That’s kind of untrue though isn’t it? He tackles way bigger than his size suggests.

It's a bit of a puzzle really having Farrell, Smith and Ford. I watched the Exeter v Sale match on Sunday and it was hard to tell if Sale had improved with Ford at 10. Perhaps they will but Du Preez looked uncertain at times at 13. Thought they should have still won and didn't get the rub of the green from the officials.

You mean you disagree. Fair enough. It’s an opinion whether you think it’s untrue or not.
I mean there is this thing about Smith being a luxury player which I just don't get. You can have flare in rugby but still put a shift in for the team. Kind of offensive to say the ABs wouldn't worry about him. I think they would. Only really Ireland and maybe SA would prefer him over Farrell becadie, yes Farrell is better in an arm wrestle but that doesn't mean Smith is bad. I just think it's unfair to think just because he's creative he's a luxury. I've seen him put the shoulder in on much bigger opponents

Best luxury player in6nations is Finn Russell and Scotland play in a way to accommodate him whereas England struggle to do so,especially with Farrell in centre
