Red Bull breaching 2021 financial cap

7m in F1 is minor though as the expenses are vast.
Do I remember correctly you being delighted that Hamilton was thrown out of qualifying at Brazil last year over the most minor infringement as they broke the rules and it didn’t matter if it was minor or not? How come this is any different?

Let’s be honest if this was the other way round you would want merc thrown out of all future championships

I think we know why it's different. Zorro is one of "those" fans who thrives on conflict. It seems he has to hate Hamilton to enjoy the sport. And yes, that means he'll always be a hypocrite in times like this.

How come a financial breach is different to a technical breach then? You breach a technical regulation you are punished. Minor or not?
Technical infringements are black and white (fuel sample quantity left, wing slot spacing distance) etc.

The sporting regulations are a touch more open to interpretation and grey areas that can be hidden in. To give Ferrari carte blanche to do what they want obviously, and let Masi, Max and RedBull get what they want / off the hook to give Netflix and Liberty media 'content' it seems.

Yeah, it's weird how 1mm over a technical regulation is illegal, but £7 million over financial regulation is only minor.

You guys are too invested in the rules and regulations - just enjoy the ride. Mercedes will catch up next season and it will be closer and then the majority on here can go back to being happy.
Sport should have rules, and those rules should be fair and consistent and followed by all who participate to ensure integrity of the entire competition.

Breaking or not following those rules should be met with swift and consistent justice, and the punishment should be a deterrent to others.

Cheats should never prosper.

Anything else is just manufactured theatre in the form of light entertainment.

I think F1 is just a bit of a circus and to enjoy it you have to accept that.

Or is it the interpretation of the rules? Football and VAR is a great example - we all see these things differently. As such we have the governing bodies to decide when a rule is broken and what the penalty would be. I just think that some F1 fans are 'rule geeks' and would rather moan over regulation 14.5.3 section c than watch a race and just enjoy the spectical.

No. No it's not an interpretation of the rules. £7million over a price cap is £7million pounds worth of cheating.
And no, I don't want to "enjoy the spectacle" I want to watch a competitive sport. I have TV dramas and wrestling to watch if I want a spectacle.

I thought you weren't invested in F1 anymore and weren't watching it? Make your mind up lad ;)
