Red Bull breaching 2021 financial cap

Pretty much where hybrid technology has done though I think. Plus the new engines will be using biofuels as well as hybrid technology, biofuels been the next big leap in automotive technology.
Biofuels and hybrid technologies ar le both pretty much obsolete already. Old technologies being replaced by modern power trains

Some right whoppers on here with the most obvious point being overlooked. Fraud.

Just a reminder of what Ross Brawn said in 2019.

“If you fraudulently breach the financial regulations, you will lose your championship. There will be serious consequences for the teams that break these regulations. How will we have control over expenses? We have a very strong team of financial experts within the FIA and F1 and we sought external support. The new rules are essential for the well-being of F1.”

Fast forward to the Singapore GP in 2022 when the rumours entered the public domain. When put to Christian Horner he was indignant, accusing rival teams of making 'deflammatory' comments (is deflammatory even a word?) and protesting that Red Bull's submission was 'well under' the cost cap.

Let's try and define 'well under'. Give CH the benefit of the doubt and let's say 5% to allow a calculation. So Red Bull's submission was in the region of $137.75m for arguments sake.

If rumours are to be believed the FIA has assesed Red Bull's expenditure at $2m over the cap, so $147m.
The FIA assessment is therefore $9.25m more than Red Bull's submission so what has Red Bull tried to hide and have they been fraudulent in their submission?

It's quite clear that the FIA has been enabling Red Bull over the last few seasons and it's turning fans away from the sport. Not just casual fans or avid tv watchers but people like me who follow the sport around the world.

Very true, the FIA is bending over backward for Redbull & it's getting nauseating. The integrity of the sport was already in tatters after Abu Dhabi.

Do you remember the big punishment Mclaren got in 2007? I can't see the FIA being that strong towards Redbull.

Makes you wonder what’s really going on doesn’t it? I can understand to a degree why they used to be so favourable towards Ferrari, given their rich and incredible history. But why bend of backwards to accommodate the can sellers? Culturally and historically they bring nothing at all to the sport

Probably the main reason behind any reticence to sanction Red Bull is the sport is owned by Liberty Media. They’re not a blind bit interested in Red Bull, Ferrari or any other team, circuit or individual. They’re interested in MONEY…….and will do anything to keep that rolling in including abandoning every European circuit to make a glorified NASCAR!!

Well, yes this is true

You must comply with the cap or face the documented punishment.

Unless you actually don't comply with the cap , then it doesn't really matter.
