You guys are too invested in the rules and regulations - just enjoy the ride. Mercedes will catch up next season and it will be closer and then the majority on here can go back to being happy.

You're confusing us with drive to survive fans. For proper racing fans it's not about merc v redbull. It never was and never should be. For proper racing fans it's about the integrity of the sport. Which is at rock bottom. As others have mentioned only WWE come close to it for manipulating storylines
 
I didn’t defend max or red bull I’m replying to the poster who said 7 mil isn’t a small amount of money but I was saying in F1 terms 7 mil is regarded as minor due to their vast budgets.

Hence why it’s called a minor infringement.

Btw some one else thinks drive to survive is a bad influence on the sport..

But Red Bull driver Verstappen will not directly feature in the current season after revealing last year he no longer wanted to be interviewed, saying Drive to Survive had faked rivalries and overhyped things.

PLUS: Drive To Survive series four review

“They faked a few rivalries which they don’t really exist,” Verstappen said in an interview with the Associated Press last October.

“So I decided to not be a part of it and did not give any more interviews after that because then there is nothing you can show.”

Drive to Survive is decent TV but that's all it is. I can understand why drivers can't be doing with it.

I am looking forward to the cycling version though - it will be interesting to see how they present it. But there is one thing I am certain of - if any new cycling fans appear because of it I won't be a snob and refuse to accept them as 'proper fans', or refer to them as wrestling fans.

The UCI are as bad as the FIA in all fairness. You just have to get on with it and enjoy the sport. There is nothing you can do to change the guys at the top.

You will if you see how toxic and nasty the become. They are the reason the governing body gets away with the manipulation and corruption. They crave the controversy, they have to have drama, to the expensive of sporting fairness.

£7 Million is a vast amount. And it's 5% of a teams Budget. 5% as also a lot, in a sport where a thousandth of a second counts.

I'm sorry, you seem to have aimed that at me thinking I'm one of these toxic drive to survive fans who has to "hate" someone in order to get something out of the sport. I know that's you're game but I'm a bit above that.

Drive to survive gives some insights but it’s not structured tv

We had a mid season episode of McLaren vs Ferrari and it was going to be close in the season. The outcome and battle was never shown again

Did you know that it was Masi that handed Max the title on Sunday?

It was he who re-wrote the rules and accidentally omitted the clause about the reduced points for Sunday's circumstances which led to all Sunday's confusion.

Neat eh?
