Well done Yearbyred. I keep refreshing and then get Acklam but when I am asked to book a 2nd one, i choose a venue that is available (Darlington Arena for instance) and once I click ok it says one of the appointments has been taken so please start again. I have tried all week to get booked in.

I think I was asked if I wanted to book the second. If you say 'no' the first should go through.

I had the same issue for a while. Initially had 2 appointments booked at Darlington and then got the same issue as you.

Think it’s just persistence and luck.

I just tried the NHS site, with my NHS number but was declined, not eligible yet, I am 52.

I think the NHS website is still 55. Some health centres/doctors surgeries have doses too, and have been going through their patients in age order. Some of them are 'ahead' of the national NHS platform... so some younger folk are getting it that way I believe.

I am 54 and it let me book this morning but I couldn’t book for my wife who is 52 so maybe phasing people in in age priority first? ( 54 and 53 but not 50, 51 or 52- not sure and only a theory)

The wife and I have our first jabs on Saturday and our second one at the start of June.

I'm happy with that and feel there is light at the end of the tunnel.
