Over 20 Get your jab here

Tried booking but without an NHS number and having not required anything from my GP in over twenty years the system doesn't recognise me

If you're registered with a GP you should be able to book.
I'm with one of the three practices in the Cleveland Centre but I've no idea which one and the last GP I saw retired in 2000.
Impossible to get through to any of them on the phone it just rings and rings
I've not cost the NHS a penny since I was a school-kid and now I actually want summat I can't get it

If you put your details in the booking system, by your details and post code, it'll find you. It found me and I haven't seen a GP in over 40 years.

I got a letter this morning confirming I can now book on the NHS online site. I had already done this thanks to the link.
So this is the way we are proceeding, don't wait for your doctor book your 2 jabs on
www.nhs.uk/covid-vaccination
Need name, date of birth
NHS number (on any NHS.(correspondence).
Am in late 50s in Middlesbrough

My letter just dropped through the letter box, we must be very similar in age (60 in august)

You don’t actually need your NHS number to book.

Still trying to get the wife booked in. Nearest place given to her is Leeds. I got booked in for a chemist 10 mins away from where I live. I will just have to keep trying and hope something comes up in Middlesbrough.

If anyone doesn't know, but wants to find out their NHS number, you can get it sent to your phone using the link. It only takes a minute or 2, then you have it to hand when you go for your vaccination. You don't necessarily need it, but it helps us move people through much quicker if you have it to hand

Does anyone know if you can book a second jab only online? My Mam (who is 87) had her first one eight weeks ago. That was after a phone call from the vaccination centre rather than receiving a letter or booking online.

Would the booking system let me book her in for her follow up?

Follow the link in the OP and try it, if you’re not eligible it just kicks you out. When you book online it gives you both dates at the same time.

Yes I think you can. I'm sure my dad did that earlier today.
