Over 20 Get your jab here

As I said last week, I could book (age 63) even though it said “65 and over” on the website. I then got my NHS letter 4 days later telling me I was eligible to book. There appears to be a delay in notification, probably caused by admin and postage times. Just keep trying it every day. It can only say no. I had my first jab last night. Astra Zeneca from Darlington football ground. Don’t forget to ask for a badge! (y)

The Mrs got Oxford from Darlo football ground so they must be doing both.
 
I think what’s notable is that people are moving through clinics etc so much quicker due to being younger and more mobile . Early doors naturally the more infirm needed more time to pass through . In the practise it is like a conveyor belt how it’s done so I’d imagine jab rates will exceed

My sister is a nurse and was doing injections at the start and this is what she said, reckons they fly through now.
 
At Darlington, while I was talking to one soldier about my details, another one came up and gave me the vaccine. I didn’t even feel it. While waiting 15 minutes afterwards I looked at my arm. It looked the same. Kept thinking “Did I actually have it”? Talk about a “military operation”!
 
I got booked in today and my birthday is November 1962. I tried for my wife (May 63) and she is not eligible yet so it is coming down. I will check up every day now.

I got a text 2 days ago to invite me for a vaccine at a local GP surgery. I am booked in early next week. I am late 50s. I noticed David Cameron and Jeremy Hunt go their jabs on Tuesday and they are only 54. I would not have thought they are especially at risk. They must just be lucky.

Yes my Mrs said she thought the guy she was talking to would do it, but he just nodded and another guy walked up and stuck it in. I couldn’t see a mark, slightly stiff arm this morning was all.

They do seem to be getting through the age groups, based on the bookings, but the reported daily vaccinations seem to be quite low compared to where they were in February.
The average daily number in February was >400k. The daily numbers this week have been <300 per day, and that's with all the additional capacity from newly opened vaccination centres.

They admitted that there would be a vaccine shortage for the first two weeks of March, so hopefully things improve in a week or so.

But there has been supply issues this week - if there was unlimited supply they could be doing way more than 400k a day but its supply that causes the reduction
 
Im 53 and I was booked in to get my first jab yesterday.
As id heard different claims regarding the time id have to wait for the jab after having covid i rang the drs for clarification.
Turns out i have to wait for 4 weeks after i came out of hospital.
Rebooked for next Thursday.

Nice to have a date hence beginning of the end 👍
 
Although it is over 60’s getting jab at moment. Over 55’s can now book a slot for when it is open for them, probably in about a weeks time.
if that makes sense
Wife 59 couldn’t book yesterday but got booked today for March 18th for 1st jab and June 3rd for 2nd jab
