Kwame Poku is impressing in league one h lots of champo clubs will be looking at him.

I think we were
Linked with Milan van Ewik at one point.. before Coventy bought him.

I’ve been impressed with Kieran Scott’s January moves.. I’m expecting some big hitters!

I think we will see movement we could think we have more than enough but scott will want some of our periphery players shipped with improved quality replacements. Hes not one to stand still

there'll defo be movement.. no point having lads in the 25 that are not gonna push the team onto promotion.

Glover needs gametime.. Gilbert needs to be playing.. Forss might benefit from a loan to continue his recovery?

Extra money in from Morgan Rogers, Matthew Hoppe will surely be off this January for his own sanity.

Promotion season we showed a lot of movement in the window.. we through everything at it!

January is a different animal to the summer and I think Keiran Scott recognises this more than most. Irons will be well and truly in the fire.

Agreed Glover , too many players who won't affect the promotion push sat in the stands and still part of the squad . How KS moves them on to create spaces will be an interesting watch. Time for Ruth less to do her job.

Smith is out of contract in the summer.
If Bangura is injured for the rest of the season.. I could see him not being registered.
Does Alex Gilbert have a long term injury? I thought he was back on the grass?
Marcus Forss has been playing some U21 games.. a loan move might suit him?

Barlaser rumours come every window.. but nothing ever comes of it. Dael Fry wont leave. Too much of a home bird.

Ipswich might come back in for Latte// they might not. Hackney will be linked with a move away again.

I don't think we've ever de-registered a player in recent years... We kept Darnell Fisher registered all season to play 1 minute in the last game - I think we'll do the same for Smith if he's not back before.

Glover could get loaned out but we'd need to bring in a 3rd keeper so that wouldn't free up a place in the squad either.

Loaning Gilbert out if probably the most likely option from all of the above.

Ideally we keep all our players, they all come back from injury challenging for the first team.

Smith, Fry, Engle, Gilbert & Forss back on top would be immense. If they played for another club and were fully fit.. folks would be screaming automatic promotion from the rooftops!!

It should be pretty easy knocking a few off that list for any January signings . Glover and smith are an easy 2 it’s not like wel be looking to sign many anyway

I don't think Barry would be a back-up to Conway as such; I think he's more likely to play alongside him on the left. That said, it looks like he could step in for Conway as needed.

It would be a blow to lose LL but I think he's a real streak scorer while Conway is more consistent so, as you say, arguably right now Conway is #1 and ELL is #2. Burgzorg hasn't really worked in the middle so far and Forss can't stay fit.

Personally, to mount a real challenge for the top 4, especially if we did lose LL, I think we need a Premier league loan of the standard of Carvalho or Enciso at Brighton.

That said, it appears that we were chasing Morris and Conway for over a year and we seem to have had Burgzorg on our radar last January but couldn't get his club to break his loan so it seems likely we we have some irons in the fire we know nothing about. We do seem to loan two and buy one each winter under Scott so I can see us doing something similar if we can make space in the registered squad.

There is lots of smoke without fire in the January window.

Gilbert and Glover were rumoured to be going out on loan in the Summer.

Matthew Hoppe has disappeared off the face of the planet.. MLS might come knocking at the end of the window?

Dijksteel deserves another contract.. but maybe he doesn’t take one up?

Tommy Smith might fancy a fresh challenge after such a long time out with injury.

Matt Clarke out of contract in the summer.. Johnny Howson too.

Some good shouts and some I’ll have to scout.

For me we are short of goals outside wide Doak has 1, Bergzorg 2 in one match and McGree 1. It’s not enough. That’s why Louie Barry would be my first target

Second we are short at CDM. We’ve seen the drop off in controlled possession when Hackney and Morris are injured. We now need a Morris backup really. Young and maybe from lower leagues is fine

Abu Kamara went past Dijksteel like he had concrete wellies on so I would not be offering him a new contract, sell now and bring the younger version in.
Zavier Simons , Hector Kyprianou or Matt Smith as back up to Morris.
 
I think the key thing in January is adding players with the right attitude. This season is going to come down to who wants it most. I suspect some championship players know they will be out of there current club is they get promoted.

Someone on another post made a similar point. Of our current permanent squad who would survive in the premiership?

We have plenty of attacking options decent fullbacks we are scrapping the barrel. A good left back and right back we would be champions thats where we need to recruit
