Most of that team could be shipped out without affecting the team performance. That is the crux of the matter really Newy there's positions we'd struggle with an injury, where we technically have more than adequate cover.
Our squad is too big, we would struggle to register many more you'd think.
These have barely or not featured at all this season.....
-------------------------Glover-----------------------
Smith-----------Fry-----------Lenihan------Bangura
------------------Barlaser---McCabe-------------
--Forss----------------Gilbert-------------Silvera
------------------------Coburn-----------------------
Which is pretty crazy really.
So for me, I'd only like to sign players that actively improve the first XI, or who would step in to the first XI next season to replace players coming to the end of their time / career (Howson & Smith, possibly Ayling, Lenihan won't have had a competitive minute for 18 months by then so that might be a decision he/we need to make at some point. I'd have said Dijksteel at the start of the season but I think he's done well and is probably alright for squad rotation in the champo).
So as you say, where do we strengthen? I think throughout the squad there is a lack of athleticism and power which never hurts to have as an option. I think we can probably do better at both fullback positions, maybe at CM/DMC too. An upgrade or replacement for Howson and/or Barlaser, possibly a replacement for Hackney if he attracts bids?
But I think we should be pushing to keep the crown jewels and trim a lot of the fat from the squad to get one or two first team starters in.
We might have a a few moving out on loan. That is the crux of the matter really Newy there's positions we'd struggle with an injury, where we technically have more than adequate cover.

That's what I'm saying really mate, there's XI there who we don't play, so if we can thin them out and get a few who improve the first XI and the current occupant becomes the rotation option. Most of that team could be shipped out without affecting the team performance.
Loans do count for registration, ours don't.do U21 loan players count towards the 25?
Thats a problem jones looks well of the pace even as a backupI think we just need a really good winger tbh as worry if doak gets injured what we gonna do as he's the difference at the moment.
Jones confidence must be well down right now . I think Hel pick up at some point , he has been vital for us in then passed.
Dijksteel deserves a new contract imoI don't think we should be signing anybody without outgoings.
I'd offer Dijksteel a new contract on his performances so far this season, but if he won't sign one then right back is an obvious position that needs sorting long term as Smith surely don't be offered a new contract in the summer, so we'd only half Ayling with a year left on his contract.
Loan out Hamilton and bring in a midfielder.
Well that’s a must as we would have to deregister a player to register a new oneI don't think we should be signing anybody without outgoings
There will be big changes this summer so we need to start planning. That is the crux of the matter really Newy there's positions we'd struggle with an injury, where we technically have more than adequate cover.

I think, if we don't get promoted then there is a huge turnover.Either way I’d be amazed to see these players here next year glover, Dijksteel, Lenihan, Engel, Clarke, Barlaser, Howson, Forss, Bergzorg, Silvera, jones
There will be interest in Morris, Conway and Azaz but if we don’t go up they won’t have done enough to get the bids necessary, especially if we have sold lath and Hackney. We will have a big turnover but plenty of cash. McGree has signed a new long term deal I don’t see him going and I’d be surprised if Dieng was sold unless he has a stinker of a second half to the season. But if sold those in brackets we’d probably bring in 25m if we sold lath and Hackney you can add another 40m.I think, if we don't get promoted then there is a huge turnover.
Out (moving up). Latte Lath, Hackney, Rav (maybe not depending on how he returns from injury), Dieng & McGree (if they get an offer from a top tier league)
Out (moving down/sideways/out of contract). Lenihan, Engel, Howson, Forss, Silvera, Smith, Glover
Could stay or go depending on bids. Barlaser, Clarke, Dijksteel (may get a new deal offer), Fry, Gilbert, Coburn
I think we will aim to keep Jones on the basis that his current dip in form is temporary.
Fighting to hang onto. Morris, Conway, Azaz,
Re-signing: The Fridge
Looking at a lot of churn if we don't get promoted.
[Dieng], Brynn
Ayling, [Dijksteel]
[Rav], Edmundson, [Fry]
[Clarke]
Borges, [Engel/Bangura]
[Barlaser]
Morris
Jones
Azaz, [Gilbert]
[McGree], Burgzorg
Latte Lath, [Coburn]
That looks like an almost total rebuild.
Did we have one space left or did Doak use that up?Well that’s a must as we would have to deregister a player to register a new one
