Gold Season Card Holders

And I'm saying in what way?

Well they are as usual cack-handed. Season card deadline extended indefinitely then without warning closed off. Certain supporters allowed to renew in a preferential window (ignoring the fact there are many supporters not even old enough to have a GC) and then when that window expired without telling anyone they allowed other supporters to renew etc etc etc

Right. I hadn't realised that there was a window for non gold card holders.

I think what will happen now is that there will be a few days set aside to calculate all the bubbles etc and work out exactly what space there is left, how many seats left with social distancing around the stadium.

What is it you don't understand?

I think I understand it better than you have.

How about the fact that all this started with a post from Rob? Not from mfc.co.uk?

How about the fact that the club have'nt actually stated that via mfc.co.uk that Gold Card members who don't review will not lose their privileges?

How about the club allowed non Gold card members to purchase tickets without advising that they could do so and no communication from mfc.co.uk?

Hence my somewhat sarcastic "yeah righto" that seems to have gone over your head.

I was trying to think through different scenarios - if there were a couple of thousand seats left for each game what does everyone think is the fairest system.
Would that change if there were 4000 seats left?
And does everyone agree that the club coming out and stating in no uncertain terms that no one loses their seat if they don't renew this season is an important next step, Presumably at this point of someone has only renewed to keep their seat they could now be allowed to reverse their decision.
What do you reckon?

I think the club should have thought about all of this before they reopened ticket sales to fans with GC and put out a public statement rather than you having to try and mop up by contacting them and putting answers on here.

This is yet another example of how poorly the club is run. The info they gave to you still hasn’t gone up on the club website.

I think the club should keep a batch of (at least) 500 for general sale on a weekly basis. We are community club after all...

So that would be an essential first step then, we agree on that.
And do you see what I was trying to say the other day, Primus, that the ticket office lad wouldn't have known how many tickets were left on sale this week - or rather he shouldn't have said anything because it looks like he gave out the wrong information.

What you were saying is that someone in the ticket office wouldn’t know. But that isn’t necessarily the case and they do still have tickets under their ceiling of 9k. They’ve also today put in place a deadline for bubble requests so I think they’ve changed their mind again and won’t sell anymore tickets till they know what the layout with bubbles will be.

Either way they still haven’t put out a statement with the information they gave you which is ludicrous as some GC holders will have felt pressure to renew so they didn’t lose their GC and its benefits.

Pesumably at this point of someone has only renewed to keep their seat they could now be allowed to reverse their decision.
What do you reckon?

Absolutely. There must be a number of people who have renewed to keep their seat but not actually wanting to go for covid reasons. It's not like they have even said how they are going to open the stadium in a safe manner which is actually vital for many people.

Humpty - if 500 were kept back for sale - how it would be fairest to sell them?
First come first served or maybe everyone registers and takes turns through the season?

Millwall - latest statement -
Season tickets for 2020/21 will not go back on sale until those plans are finalised.

In the mean time, the club will soon contact everyone who has already purchased a season ticket for the new campaign to provide information on anticipated changes to the matchday experience for supporters and an update on necessary adjustments to terms and conditions.

Once that consultation period is complete then the club will issue another announcement detailing the selling strategy for all remaining season tickets as well as a date for when they will be available to purchase. Supporters who held season tickets in 2019/20 will be given full priority for renewals and also the tickets set to be made available on a match-by-match basis.

It is hoped that any matches played behind-closed-doors or with reduced capacities will once again be made available for streaming on iFollow, though that cannot yet be confirmed.

I'd go with the latter. There's going to be a large segment of Boro's support turned off from the club if they don't get a chance to watch the club live all season. The worse thing the club can do is make it an exclusive club. That's not what we're about. Apparently.

I agree with Humpty, luckily I'd renewed my season ticket but if I hadn't then I'd want a fair chance of getting to go to some games. They need to come up with a fair way to distribute tickets so that everyone who wants to go can go.
