Football Manager 2024

Loved Fujimoto last year, I only had him for a year but he was vital to my PL safety. Ended up selling him to Sunderland for around £12million

Transfer window done ready for my first season in the prem.. Stuck with a 950k p/w wage budget, 550k less than the next lowest team.

the player potential is stupidly fixed as if thats
in anyway enjoyable, you know already how good an 18 year will ever get and thats just nonsense, the potential of players needs to be training based not
just set as soon as you start the game
This isn’t true though. The only 18 year olds likely to have a fixed potential are going to be the Jude Bellingham’s of the world.

Beyond that, most young players are going to have a different potential from save to save because they use a potential ability range rather than one set in stone.

I.E. -8 potential could be anywhere from 130 to 160 potential, which is basically the difference of either being a Championship player or a top half Premier League player.

Totally. It all depends on how you use them too. Stick them in your U19s team and they won't progress that well. Have them in your first team squad and give them minutes throughout the season and they'll reach a decent level in no time.

Yeah, plus there's also other variables that will either make it harder for them to reach their potential or make it so they never do. Stuff like determination plays a part, low determination is gonna make it harder, but on top of that their hidden personality attributes that impact it like their professionalism, consistency, ambition.

Got a young 18 year old Brazilian attacking mid on loan called Estevau… had to make it permanent in Jan for £12m as he’s been class and big clubs were sniffing around. “Dubbed the new Kaka” 😂

Ok so I bought it this year. I started unemployed as always and have ended up in the Japanese third division. I didn't even know they had a third division in Japan. My tactic is based entirely on having a centre forward who is six foot tall. I figured with everyone else in Japan being about four foot we could just kick it up to the big lad and it would be a superman is normal on krypton but superpowered on earth kind of trip. Decided to go the whole hog and so devised my "they don't like it up em" tactic. 442 and if they even think of taking a short corner they get immediately sold.

This of course worked brilliantly. At first anyway. We were unbeaten in our first twelve, only dropping points three times. And we reached the semis of the cup, beating two top flight teams including the reigning Asian champions.

I do however seem to have been "figured out". We have lost the last three games, conceding 16 goals.

Currently trying to decide whether to change formation to a more defensive one or to just buy larger players.

Palmeiras are a gold mine. Keep trying to sign Estevao from them but he's not having it, little ****. I started this save unemployed and then got the job at Athletico Paranaense and won the league and Copa Libertadores. Decided to apply for 3rd division 1860 Munchen job for a laugh and Paranaense sacked me on the spot without warning. Reinvigorated to stay in Brazil, and driven by spite, I applied for the Corinthians job so I could beat Paranaense, and won everything with them.

Full backs going absolutely wild with assists. Wholly recommend Vicente Pizarro and Lucas Assadi. Two excellent signings.

Long story short: Get f*cked Athletico Paranaense.

I've just finished my 3rd season, finished 5th and it was enough for champions league football!
Deivid Washington has gone back and I can't afford him which is making me cry 😂 Matteo Guendouzi coming in for £20million...I have no idea if I've struck a good deal here, somebody let me know before I click confirm tomorrow 😂
Bradley Barcola permanent for £5million, I had an option for £55million in the loan so a bit of a bargain 😂 thinking quality over quantity! Oh and I won the carabao cup beating Newcastle 4-1 in the final!

Are you just playing a 4231 formation aswell?

Definitely stick to your guns and buy larger players. As many as you can.

Greenwood just fooked off to the Saudi League for £65m!

Plan is to move Marcos Leonardo out to his inside forward position on the left, and just signed Endrick on loan from Real Madrid to play up top 😍 (if he can get a game ahead of Sonny Finch)

Got Garnacho on loan from Man Utd as well due to them being in deep financial trouble
