First Female Manager

Yes.
We`ve always had Male Managers - But, since relegation and Southgate`s sacking in 2009 - all but one has failed to achieve the objective.
None of the rest proved "competent" given that criteria. [Strachan / Mowbray / Monk / Pulis / Woodgate / Warnock / Wilder...?]

We've had plenty of dinosaurs of late. Maybe going back to hiring humans (even if they are female) as managers maybe the way to go.

It's all about the person not male/ female though I'd expect to see women come into the men's game via a far more competitive competition than WSL & women's football more broadly..

Through non-league, then national leagues & finally EFL structure.. appointing one straight out of WSL into a high level league would be as bad as the appointment of former PL 'stars' with little or no coaching behind them.

I think Sarina Wiegman would be a great appointment she seems to have all the qualities needed to manage a team. She took an England team that was almost there and added the extra 10% that was needed (something all male occupants of the role had failed to do).

There's certainly no reason why not. Particularly in the modern game where your more thoughtful managers are now thriving and fewer teacups are smashed.

It'd probably be a different dynamic, obviously there are some subtle differences (usually) in the way men and women interact with each other, but who's to say that wouldn't be an advantage?

Plenty of exceptional female leaders in all other fields (with the exception of cheese and pork market enthusiasts) so why not football?

Sarina Wiegman certainly got more out of an excellent group of England players than ex Man Utd stalwart Phil Neville, so why would Emma Hayes or similar be any more of a punt than Carrick?

Absolutely NOT 👍

Roy Keane, Patrick Viera, Graeme Souness et al, taking instructions in the heat of the moment from a female ????

Do me a favour

In the words of Souey a few weeks back, it's a 'mans game' ........ long may it stay that way 👍
