I actually think it would go fine, and players would embrace it way quicker than fans.

Despite what we all like to think, footballers are just professional athletes who want to turn up, train and play and do their best. A 22 year old guy will respond no differently to a female coach than a male coach, if they both know what they’re doing.

I can’t see it happening at a top level Champions League club yet because of the “culture”, but on a day to day basis there’s no difference between female coaches and male coaches. It also wouldn’t happen at a club with a drinking culture like Portsmouth in 2005 or us in 1998, but that’s dying out.

Fans however, like the F***ing lunatic above, will take way longer to adapt - but they’re also dying out, which is a relief.
