Mark M from Fans Forum has been preparing a document including Boro Pride Cards and other initiatives which will be presented to the Boro exec and discussed by them. Fingers crossed we can influence some positive moves.
 
Hi Rob any progress with the EFL on approaching DAZN for not streaming ALL of the Boro matches for which they have the exclusive Canadian rights to? I seem to recall Sue or Mark looking into this. Getting a response from DAZN Canada at this end has proven not only torcherous, but impossible!

Oh that is a good point - Lee Fryett and Paul Dews at Boro were going to raise this point with EFL.
I will fire off an email now.

DAZN Canada have also lost to FUBOL their rights to the Premier League this year so their appeal for me continuing with them has lessened further.

That said, our match with West Brom is on their calendar😊

Ellen raised this at the last Forum meeting - am I right DAZN took out exclusive rights but don't even broadcast many of the games - so effectively blocking anyone seeing them. Anyway, Lee and Paul were going to talk to EFL about the situation. I sent them an email.

Just some of them. But as you might imagine, watching EVERY single Boro match is of HIGH IMPORTANCE to me.

MFC were not allowed to stream several matches to their OVERSEAS Boro fanbase last season. I am sadly expecting even more of that this coming season.

Just to come back to this - the club has previously committed to coming back to the committee with a proposal for replacing Boro Pride in order to do something for people who can't afford a season ticket but might attend semi-regularly haven't they?

Am I misremembering or did they not say they were researching it with a look to introducing something about 2 years ago at least?

A quick flick back through the minutes indicates I'm wrong, the club has only been looking at this for almost 1 year now with no actual progress - it was first discussed in the meeting on August 2nd of 2021.

Maybe in 5 more years they might have concluded their "research" and be ready to discuss having a discussion about a meeting to think about introducing a membership scheme.
