England Team for the Euros

I know I’m the board’s resident “grump” about Foden but he has never found any real consistency for England. As things stand, with Rashford and Grealish not really on it, he should start almost by default.

If he CAN find form for England then that is a Euro-winning forward line, with Rice behind them.

I put Foden in my team, but to be fair, Pep picks Grealish ahead of him on the left for city, so maybe that’s the right call
 
I'd go with Maddison over Foden right now, although he needs a couple of goals/assists for England soon. If Chilwell is fully fit I would start him over Shaw. There's a case for Ramsdale starting ahead of Pickford. As for the defence, I have to say I quite liked Coady, but they're all pretty average bar Stones. If Reece James is fit, Walker and Stones could be the centre backs. Trent could be in for Phillips, but Southgate clearly doesn't really trust him.

Yes it would, if the game was just about get the most talented attacking players on the pitch and you will be world champions then the job of coach would be redundant.

The fact he scores goals for Madrid has no influence on his defensive ability and work rate tracking back. Expecting him to track back regularly will have an effect on his energy levels when we have possession. We need him in the final third facing goal as much as possible, we do that we win games. But you need solidity behind him.
 
Can’t believe that nobody has included Mr Consistent - the glue that holds the boys together and the born leader on the pitch Mr J Henderson in their starting 11. Unbelievable Jeff!

Foden does not play from the left at City. Foden can either play in the middle or from the right and he is not getting in over Bellingham or Saka for either of those.

The left at the moment is either Grealish or Rashford. Grealish tracks back which is something Rashford does not have so JAck will be the starter unless somebody develops over the next few months.

He has done in the past though and can comfortably play there in this England side and is a goal threat. Grealish isn’t even getting a regular game for city just now. I fancy Sterling to make a big claim too, he’s started the season very well for Chelsea but is being overlooked.

Agree with you on Rashford. I’d rank him the lowest out of all the names on the list.
