Not what Gareth will pick, but what would yours be? I love Maddison but don’t think he currently fits into the team and Bellingham has to play in that 10 role where’s he’s thriving for Madrid.

Lewis ( he is my dark horse pick) performing admirably for City

It’s a bit special like. If we can get the partner right for Rice in midfield then we can win the whole thing. I believe Rico Lewis has the chance to be the right guy. Him or Hayden Hackney 😉
 
I think it will be Rice and Phillips behind Bellingham


Hopefully Phillips pushes for a move in January if he’s still getting no game time at City

Yeah it could well be if Phillips goes and gets the game time he needs. Southgate seems to like Trent in there too.

I think aside from CBs and who partners Rice as holding midfielder it pretty much picks itself (at the moment), I expect that Rico Lewis will be there in the squad but I don't see him as a starter, yet.

Phillips for Lewis and that’s what I would go with.

Not bad. I think if Philips can get out of City in January and play regularly he will play alongside Rice, he’ll sit and be the water carrier allowing rice to be more progressive. He’ll also allow the FBs to push on. Alternatively we could see Stones playing his Man City role at CDM….but then who plays alongside Dunk??

LB is a problem area, permacrocs all of them.

I really like Foden but it’s stiff competition on the left with Grealish, Maddison, and Rashford all in with a shout. I think Foden at his peak is better than the others but depends who is in form

but we wont play him centrally, if its coming off the left i stick with Grealish. Love Foden though
