Eat out to help out.... it begins!

Did lunch at Uno momentos Linthorpe Road, it was packed, first time I have ever seen more than half doz in an afternoon session. We had Hotshot Calzone pizza, Prawn salad, pint of Peroni and a fresh orange, bill was £13, was excellent. Tonight we managed to book the Toby, this time for 4 of us, we had 4 carvery's and 4 ice-creams, with 4 unlimited soft drinks. It wasn't really a carvery as you can't help yourself for veg anymore, so you can get more of what you don't want and less of what you do, total bill was £29.50, which was ok but i'll be honest, we've had better offers from their app, it pays to have a Toby app.

Get yourself to Prickly Pear in Boro. Very nice food and nice decor once you get through the TAD centre. (y)
Prickly Pear is our Monday night plans, heard good stuff from this place, will report if can book a table, been hearing it's very busy during this offer.
Tuesday plans are the Tree-bridge, only because we had many a good meals when we were courting 35+ years ago.

Better try book treebridge. It was many I couldn’t get in tonight

No point me posting a review cos I live in Cambs, so chances of anyone knowing the place are zilch, but went to our local curry house 6:30 last night, packed to the rafters when we left a few hours later, three of us, £30 off a £90 bill (most of which was booze)

the real shame is it’ll be empty tonight

Stables in Wynyard yesterday, 2hr slots for meal inside. All tables being used and as one party left another was due in, food & service was great and saved £30.00 off a £58.00 bill.

Always people looking for reviews! Unfortunately i'm tied in with a little one so wont be heading anywhere at the moment but always on the lookout for good places to eat!

I think most places will be quieter after that surge, but you can always guarantee weekend custom I think.

Went to Akbar’s Tuesday, people queueing outside and groups waiting inside, groups not socially distancing at all so we bailed and went over yarm. Booked Cena online and had a great 3 course meal.

I have 2, oldest turned 2 last month so we don't go out for evening meals usually but the advantage of working from home is I'm done at 5 so we booked a table for the pub at 5:30 and we were back for bed time at 7. Worked well so we will probably be doing it again.

The offer applies all day so you could always pop out for breakfast, lunch, early tea

I know but I'm working during the day so no chance really. I'm more talking about the eating out at 5:30 in general. We usually don't bother going out for the evening meal because when I'm in the office I'm not home until 6 and then kids in bed for 7-7:30 doesn't give us time. If I continue to work from home it gives the option of an early tea out even when the deal ends which we've never really had a chance to consider.

After seeing how busy the first week of the EOTHOB was I’ve started to book ahead.

Managed to get into Vadah on Tuesday night which should be a treat

I'd strongly suggest to anybody wanting to venture out to book ahead. The scheme has been a massive success so far.

We were busy again tonight. Nothing compared to the past 3 days but still a fairly decent number.

I’d say I rang around 15-20 places last night from Staithes to Stockton and all fully booked. Fish and chips in Whitby today.. felt like I had been robbed after the last 3 days

I must’ve tried nearly 20 places tonight looking to book for 17th, 18th or 19th and there was practically nothing unless I could wait until 21:00.

Tried to book the Prickly Pear for next week earlier, all booked out.
May have to wait a week or so.

The scheme ends after next Mon-Wed ben. Obvs you can still go after then, but you won't benefit from money off your bill
