FFS he has only played 2 games for them. Leeds fans appear to be worse than ours and thats saying something. People who don't know anything keep going on about his attitude but as Duffman, Newy and JM 14 say above he doesn't seem to had any problems the last couple of years. He has been a very good player.Leeds fans destroy 'shocking' Djed Spence after 1-1 v Coventry - 'Lazy'
Football Insider has collected reactions from Leeds United fans after Djed Spence's "shocking" outing in their 1-1 draw against Coventry City.www.google.com
Getting pelters from the Leeds fans. The comments on Facebook were hilarious. A mixture of abuse from Leeds fans, Forest fans kissing his ar3e and boro fans smugly saying we did well getting such a big fee
We have favourite players too and when they move on after a bit of success here and aren't hitting the ground running it's because they're disrespected, and not having their hand held.Aye watched the second half of that leeds match. He looked utterly lost at left back, didn't have a clue how to play the position as a right footer.
Got a lot of good attributes Spence, but never been the most intelligent footballer. Impression I get is he's very immature for his age, needs a lot of hand holding and he's not going to get that at Leeds.
Find one person who has said Akpom needed his hand holding? All people said was they didn't give him a chance, which they didn't.We have favourite players too and when they move on after a bit of success here and aren't hitting the ground running it's because they're disrespected, and not having their hand held.
No bitterness towards Akpom at all, he was brilliant for us last season and made the choice to move on, it's the hypocrisy that stirs me a little.Find one person who has said Akpom needed his hand holding? All people said was they didn't give him a chance, which they didn't.
Your bitterness towards Chuba is a bit bizarre tbh. The fact he's now getting minutes and scoring at a good rate is also beginning to make you look a bit foolish.
Let it go.
Especially usSpence leaving was a good move for us and him....
Thought it was 12 with add-ons which we won't have got. Wasn't it Tav who was 18.One of the best pieces of business we've done is get £18m for that little rat.
Thought it was closer to £20m with the add ons?Thought it was 12 with add-ons which we won't have got. Wasn't it Tav who was 18.
If he had the right attitude he would have been a regular in the premiership by now . Colin was correct.
No he didn't. He played in the pre season friendlies including the one against Marseille at the Riverside where he played very well. Then started the first game of the season. The comparison to Chuba's a bad one. They're nothing alike. Chuba started last season frozen out of training, no shirt number, and didn't appear hold any bitterness about that.
Smith is a far, far better right-back than Djed Spence will ever be.Not so sure on people mocking the move when we currently have Tommy Smith as our RB
They're just very different players. Smith is more solid as a traditional right back but certainly couldn't have done what Spence did at Forest where he was excellent in a more attacking role.Smith is a far, far better right-back than Djed Spence will ever be.
Spence is a wing back who excelled for Forest there, but my reply was aimed at the poster who was having another little dig at the Boro. We’ve had far, far more out of Smith than we ever did Spence. To get £10m+ for him was brilliant business for us.They're just very different players. He played the first few games under Wilder last season before he got injured and looked sharp. Carrick definitely got the best out of Akpom by putting him in the no10 role but Chuba looked like he came back in good condition and form right at the beginning of that season.
He was treated badly by the Manager , Wilder .He was forced to train with the under 23s, along with Ikpeazu, until the Marseille match, which was the very last friendly a week before the season started, and he was only brought back in because the club had failed to sign replacements.
He's openly spoken about what happened.
He was treated badly by the club but acted with class throughout.
