FFS he has only played 2 games for them. Leeds fans appear to be worse than ours and thats saying something. People who don't know anything keep going on about his attitude but as Duffman, Newy and JM 14 say above he doesn't seem to had any problems the last couple of years. He has been a very good player.

Aye watched the second half of that leeds match. He looked utterly lost at left back, didn't have a clue how to play the position as a right footer.
Got a lot of good attributes Spence, but never been the most intelligent footballer. Impression I get is he's very immature for his age, needs a lot of hand holding and he's not going to get that at Leeds.

We have favourite players too and when they move on after a bit of success here and aren't hitting the ground running it's because they're disrespected, and not having their hand held.

Find one person who has said Akpom needed his hand holding? All people said was they didn't give him a chance, which they didn't.
Your bitterness towards Chuba is a bit bizarre tbh. The fact he's now getting minutes and scoring at a good rate is also beginning to make you look a bit foolish.

No bitterness towards Akpom at all, he was brilliant for us last season and made the choice to move on, it's the hypocrisy that stirs me a little.

Correct. What an opportunity missed for him. Could have been in that Forest side, playing regularly, in a team where he had the coaches and fans onside.
The comparison to Chuba's a bad one. They're nothing alike. Chuba started last season frozen out of training, no shirt number, and didn't appear hold any bitterness about that. As soon as he got chances in the team he took them. Wilders been sacked by clubs what, 2 or 3 times since? Us and Watford? Nothing from Chuba on social media mocking him for that.
Whereas Spence was clearly very bitter about Warnock for something, I'm not even sure what - he wasn't frozen out of pre season training camps or banished to the U23s or any of that as far as I remember. So much so that it was on his mind right when he was celebrating a promotion with his teammates, probably hadn't seen Warnock in nearly a year, Warnock wasn't even at boro anymore, and if he was someone with enough sense to self reflect he'd probably have realised Warnock sending him out on loan had been a big opportunity and success for him.
No he didn't. He played in the pre season friendlies including the one against Marseille at the Riverside where he played very well. Then started the first game of the season.
He played the first few games under Wilder last season before he got injured and looked sharp. Carrick definitely got the best out of Akpom by putting him in the no10 role but Chuba looked like he came back in good condition and form right at the beginning of that season.

Smith is a far, far better right-back than Djed Spence will ever be.

They're just very different players. Smith is more solid as a traditional right back but certainly couldn't have done what Spence did at Forest where he was excellent in a more attacking role.

Spence is a wing back who excelled for Forest there, but my reply was aimed at the poster who was having another little dig at the Boro. We’ve had far, far more out of Smith than we ever did Spence. To get £10m+ for him was brilliant business for us.

He was forced to train with the under 23s, along with Ikpeazu, until the Marseille match, which was the very last friendly a week before the season started, and he was only brought back in because the club had failed to sign replacements.
He's openly spoken about what happened.
He was treated badly by the club but acted with class throughout.

Warnock repeatedly threw him under the bus, the club loaned him out, the club tried to sell him, Wilder then continued the bad treatment.
