Digital Season Ticket Advice at Boro

Its going to take a while to iron out systems. I suggest to the Club they will need extra staff to deal with the teething problems and help fans and not rush fans into systems that they are not 100% ironed out.

I switched back to a physical card this week. If people aren't happy with the digital ticket I'd advise them to do the same. 5 minute phone call with the club and they'll print you a season card to collect
I'll do this. I work away so won't make all the games. It's much easier giving a card to someone than attempting to forward the digital ticket. The function to do that isn't even active yet.

I am hoping they still bring a membership scheme in this season - at which point you would you be able to buy tickets digitally without paying an admin cost. That is my hope.

That is another good point. Charging admin fees is unnecessary.

It is levied by the ticketing companies and then passed on by the clubs. They cover themselves for any type of transaction. It is admin at their end. But if it is digital then it should be a direct action, with no charge.

The ticket sale still won’t be direct though as I assume Boro will still be using their ticketing company to do the actual selling so why would the charge be waived? If it’s just for the sale? Granted any postal charge should be.

I mean, Rob, what's the bl00dy issue with doing it - you've been saying that since last year

(and while I'm on, what happened to priority points for buying the video pass as well)

Rob was told the Pride scheme was not very popular. I still liked it because it provided something for fans who could not afford a season ticket and did not want that level of investment, but still connected them with the Club.

Am not sure about becoming unpopular but at one point its use waned but that was many years ago and surely there is a need for people to feel connected to the club and feel the benefits of a membership card.

They are no longer insisting on the form to decline the digital ticket....

Digital ticketing is now available for Season Card holders in Blocks 15-20 of the North Stand, ahead of our next home match against Birmingham City.

It’s secure, fast and easy to use – you simply download your Season Card to your mobile phone or other digital device. Powered by Near-Field Communication (NFC), it uses the same technology which is already widely in operation elsewhere in day-to-day life, such as contactless payments.

A digital Season Card only needs to be downloaded once, and can then be used in the same way as a physical card, tapping it to the scanner as you enter the turnstiles on matchday. You can also download multiple digital Season Cards to one device, for example if you have children that attend the match with you.

Existing physical Season Cards will remain activated, and can continue to be used should a supporter not wish to opt-in to digital ticketing.

We have created a dedicated information section on our website for digital ticketing, which includes everything you need to know to get set up.

I’m in Block 23, so assuming this will be rolled out to me fairly soon. Main issue is transferring tickets to family and friends. I make about 60% of the games due to hols and stuff, so very important I can allocate elsewhere if necessary.
I’d much prefer to just use my phone, so keen to hear if this issue has been resolved.
Ta.

Not being pedantic, but what do you mean by this - ".....or other digital device"?
I also make "contactless payments" with my bank card.
Can I use that to enter the stadium then?
